William O'Connor Grave - Thank you
Hi Steve

Thank you so much for taking the time and trouble to take the photo of my great uncle William O'Connor's grave.

It's sad he's not mentioned on the grave. My grandmother, William's sister Evelyn lived in Sydney, I know there were letters with the family but she possibly didn't know all that went on in Melbourne with regard to the family, especially after her parents passed away. I would have been too young anyway to understand if something was said and they were careful what was said in front of us, grandma would say "the walls have ears". I'll try and contact the War Graves people to see if they have a memorial for him somewhere as he was a WW1 veteran and received the Military Medal.

Very much appreciated and if I can return the favour up here in Brissy please let me know.

Regards

Thank you - Photo Victor Francis O'Connor
Hi Steve

Thank you so much for taking the photo of the resting place of my great uncle Victor Francis O'Connor.

Sad to see he's in an unmarked grave, he must have fallen on hard times. His sister Evelyn Mary Orr (nee O'Connor) was my grandmother. After her marriage Evelyn and husband Harry moved to Sydney. By the time Victor passed away there would have only been one sibling still living in Melbourne, his wife had passed away more than 20 years prior. I guess he must have lost touch with family because there would have been nieces and nephews there. Very sad ending.

Thank you once again for your help, if there is anything I can do for you up here in Brisbane, please don't hesitate to ask.

Regards

Cath Maris

PRIEST family
Not sure if this family is your family but I have added a photo for Eric Edward Priest. I noted you have his parents listed. If this is your family and you add a memorial for them I also have the photos for their burials and will upload them.

Cheers
Sherylee

RE: Heeney
Thanks for that, I admit that I was surprised when I saw the name, but just thought I had typed the wrong name, strange that it should happen to be her mother's name!

I think that everyone who contributes to this website does a great job as it can be time-consuming, but I'm happy to provide information as I come across it, if I can. May get around to doing a few photos myself.

Keep up the good work.
Louise.
