May I ask where you received the information about Sir William Flower? Until I read your information I had Henry Flower and Joan Purnell as Lamrock's parents. Thank you for your time and answer.

Would you please remove your photo from this memorial? The pic you posted is actually of his wife Elizabeth. I have placed the correct photo on his memorial. Thanks

RE: St John Ancestors
Thanks. I'm still very new to this and it gets a bit overwhelming, but I keep picking away at it. I was trying to find a connection with the VanDusens. We have a letter to the family, an invitation in 1926 to an Eaton/VanDusens family picnic in Carlisle Ontario and I wanted to find the connection.now I can try to follow them back myself.
I've contacted a few unknown cousins through this site and find it very satisfying.

I just started doing this a couple of months ago. I live a five minute walk from this cemetery and had no idea I had a 3X great grandfather buried that close. Thanks for the picture, but I can actually walk over and take my own! Thank you cousin.

The Olk Family
I do believe that I have transferred all of the family to you, that I had memorialized. If not, do let me know.

I am a strong believer that family should be with family. Whoever wrote up the rules evidently doesn't or didn't have a loving family, ancestor's included.

Hello Cousin
I have noticed your heartfelt messages on our ancestor Nancy Filson Thrasher's memorial page.

I descend from their son John Thrasher's line that ended up in southern IL. There is supposedly a surviving tin-type photo of John but i have been unable to locate who may have had it passed down.

Can you please help narrow if it may have originated in VA before they moved west betw 1840 and 1850 U.S. Censuses?

Thank you in advance for spending any time and effort on this - Eric

LOL, turns out it doesn't matter--the memorial is a duplicate of an earlier memorial. However, you might want to have a look--I actually spent my evening updating it with information. There might be something of use there for you.

Hi, Gene!

I'm going to retain the rest of my St. John's--they are my ancestors, and I don't feel comfortable transferring any more. Please feel free to put Mathias in a VC, and, of course, feel free to submit edits or material to me--I'm happy to update.

RE: Wm Ely
Before contacting FindAGrave Admin, I have attempted to use their edit process to have her correct the errors.

It appears that the person that maintains Neomy Ely's Memorial now has 2 Findagrave accounts. One still under her name that shows up when you go to Neomy's memorial and one the shows up as "Please Delete Account" under her virtual flower offerings (see William Ely's memorial). My guess is if she is signed on as "Please Delete Account", and tries to go to Neomy Ely's memorial, she does not see the transfer memorial tab but if she signed in under her original account name or goes to the memorial by clicking on one of my edit requests, she will see the transfer memorial tab.

Hi Gene, What a wonderful lot of work you've done. Thanks.

Re Joseph B Jones, buried Rockway Cemetery, Ontario:

I guess there's no gravestone, and you've put together quite a bit of useful info. But - you have his death date as the the same as his twin brother Jesse, for whom there is a gravestone. Do you recall where you got that date?

Thanks so much.

Mercy Feurt Noel
Hi Gene: I have made the requested edits to Mercy Feurt Noel. Thank you for the additional information. Leslie Lewis, another findagrave member, is also a direct Thomas and Mary (Feurt) Reeves descendant and your document may be of some interest to her research as well. I believe she has her own research website at leslielewis.net. I am a descendant of Gabriel Noel (1821-1896), my two-great grandfather. Philip and Mercy Noel had at least eight children, according to my research, with one daughter unidentified as of this moment. One of their sons, Zebulon M. P. Noel, may have been an adopted family member. Thanks again for you information. I am particularly interested in this branch of the Scioto Co., OH Noel family, so let me know of any information you may uncover. I would be very grateful.

Bruce, findagrave member #47425897.
