You have no idea how grateful I am that you posted this memorial. This is my great grandfather. He was living in Arkansas at the time of his death with his second wife and family. His first wife died in Omaha some years before. She and George had raised a family there. All I knew is that when George died, he wanted to be buried in Omaha. So that was what was done. But no one seemed to know exactly where in Omaha he was buried. I contacted the cemetery by email. A volunteer went back through the records that have not yet been transcribed or digitalized, and found enough information for us to confirm this is our great grandfather. We have literally been looking for this information for 50 years.

I am contacting you to figure out if we are kin. I'm also trying to decipher if this Thomas T is our 4th great grandfather or if I have the wrong record. Can't figure out how to contact you privately from your blog and I don't have one, but I just signed up for the KY Gen Network (all spelled out) on FB. Last name Torres. Perhaps you could pm me there?

You've left your peace sign on several relatives of mine and I'm wondering if you're related. If so, would like to talk with you; if not, thank you for dropping by and acknowledging my family.

Thank you for visiting my mothers page here. She wasn't a very good mother, but she was the only one I had.

Thought maybe you were since you'd left your peace sign. Nice of you to do so, and nice to "meet" you.

I went to update my Great-Great Grandfather's memorial and seen your peace sign. I always visit the profiles of those who visit my family. I never new David Andrew, but I knew his son and grandson and I know you would have gotten along with the entire family. Thanks for visiting!

Thanks for your reply, Old Coot. What you are doing is meaningful, and it seems to me that you are motivated by sincere interest in those seemingly forgotten and that you have good will in your heart toward those who have passed on. Edna Lunde's story must be a sad one, I think, since she and two of her siblings died young in Yankton. I just recently discovered them and will find out more in time and create more of a tribute to the three of them. I like the peace symbol. Thanks again and blessings to you. Gloria

Dear Old Coot,
Thanks for leaving the peace symbol on Edna Lunde's find a grave page. Edna was my father's first cousin. I am curious as to whether you know anything about Edna or her family or Yankton? I've been doing some family research and found Edna and two of her siblings in Yankton State Hospital. Let me know if you know anything about them. In any event, thanks for the tribute, and peace to you.

#96856865. I don't know how you pick the people you
"talk to", but you probably would have gotten along with both of my older brothers. Lennie was a comedian and the older (surviving)one claims to be a disgruntled malcontent.

If you want to send me the information I add him or if you have a memorial I will link them. We just didn't know much about him and I haven't had a chance to talk to uncle Pat's ex-wife to get it.
