RE: Armstrong Bias
Hi,
I am 600 miles from Boone County, so I don't get there often. I asked someone about a memorial for Obadiah, and I haven't heard back. I haven't renewed my membership in the DAR for years. I also think it would be cool to be there. Page 409 of Hardesty Historical and Geographical Encyclopedia lists Obediah, Larkin, and John as revolutionary soldiers. It is spelled Byas there. That follows the section called Minute Men of Amherst County in 1776.

Cheers,
Pam

I tried finding the BCGS on FB. What is it called exactly, I tried all kinds of things. It will be good to catch up, although I do get the quarterlies....if I get my dues mailed this year! :). I've never lived in WV, my parents had moved to Ohio when they were young adults.

I went back for a brief time and tried to get new photos at the cemetery, but the weeds were up over my head. I need to replace some photos ...need to catch the sun shining on the front of them.

Thanks,
Pam

RE: Armstrong Bias
Hi,
We must be cousins. He is also my great great grandfather, and because my great grandmother took me up on that hill when I was 15 and told me about the family, and since nearly everyone in there, called our family cemetery, is related to me, I don't want to transfer the management of it. In fact, I've been trying to receive the entire cemetery from others. My line is through Elizabeth Bias who married Eli Akers, also buried at Akers Cemetery.

Blessings,
Pam
