Memorial Gardens..
Hello Kimberly, I don't know where they are exactly buried. I just submitted the requests today so you're the first to contact me about them. I would greatly appreciate of you're able to fulfill them. Thank you.

I moved to Garden City Beach, SC in June. Retired beach bum! I've gone to a few cemeteries down here, but love the ones in WV the most. I plan on going to at least 1 cemetery on each trip to WV though.

Sorry, I can't do it , but I know another contributor that might , she does a lot of Putnam & Kanawha stuff.

It would be a hundred mile round trip for me.

Kimberly, Sorry, but I live in Georgia so I can't do a photo for you.

Contact Ernie Wright and see if he has already taken the photo...he has done a lot of them....tell him the cemetery name and town/County and the name of your party. If he has it he will post or send it to you. His member number is 47048601.

Hope this helps. Carrie

I have linked the request and have transferred him and his wife. Family should be with family. I'm glad we added your loved ones and you have found him and his wife. I definitely think it was a sign from the other side.

RE: Armstrong Bias
I am 600 miles from Boone County, so I don't get there often. I asked someone about a memorial for Obadiah, and I haven't heard back. I haven't renewed my membership in the DAR for years. I also think it would be cool to be there. Page 409 of Hardesty Historical and Geographical Encyclopedia lists Obediah, Larkin, and John as revolutionary soldiers. It is spelled Byas there. That follows the section called Minute Men of Amherst County in 1776.

RE: Armstrong Bias
I tried finding the BCGS on FB. What is it called exactly, I tried all kinds of things. It will be good to catch up, although I do get the quarterlies....if I get my dues mailed this year! :). I've never lived in WV, my parents had moved to Ohio when they were young adults.

I went back for a brief time and tried to get new photos at the cemetery, but the weeds were up over my head. I need to replace some photos ...need to catch the sun shining on the front of them.

RE: Armstrong Bias
We must be cousins. He is also my great great grandfather, and because my great grandmother took me up on that hill when I was 15 and told me about the family, and since nearly everyone in there, called our family cemetery, is related to me, I don't want to transfer the management of it. In fact, I've been trying to receive the entire cemetery from others. My line is through Elizabeth Bias who married Eli Akers, also buried at Akers Cemetery.
