RE: Drake Family
Yes. "The Real McCoy 10-2014" is the name of my husband's tree on That's where the Drakes are found.

RE: Drake Family
Hi Jonalyn,
Your husband and my husband would be cousins of some sort. Mine is also descended from Ephraim Drake and Elizabeth Henderson, through their daughter, Ruth Ann....sister to your Isaac Monroe.

RE: Steed Family
I was born and raised in Amarillo, TX. My husband, son and myself are getting ready to move to the Denver, CO area within the next month. Once we get settled we plan to subscribe to but we don't yet. Unfortunately I have no official information about Richard Brighton being a "Sir". However, I have a copy of Sarah L. Steed Ewing's (his daughter) record of death and it has her father listed as "Sir Richard Brighton Steed" as well as in an obituary that ran in the newspaper in Floyd County, TX. I don't know if you have this info or not but the Floyd County Historical Museum has a genealogy center and they made me a bunch of copies for just a donation to their museum. That is how I found a lot of info about my grandfathers family. I don't know if this e-mail address is current but it's all I have as far as e-mail goes.

Steed Family
Hello Jonalyn! My name is Teddye Taylor and I believe we are distantly related. My great-great grandfather was Sir Richard Brighton Steed. My great-grandmother was Sarah Lucinda Steed Ewing, and my grandfather was Richard Elbur Ewing. I love researching my family history and I was almost in tears tonight when I happened upon the pictures you posted of the Steed family and the corresponding information relating to them. I have never seen pictures of the Steed family before and I had no idea where to find information about Richard Brighton Steed. I hate to admit it but you probably have more information for me than I have for you but I would be more than happy to offer any information to you that I may have. I look forward to hearing from you!

I don't believe Ann Harmon is Ralph Mother. Go back and look at Ralph's memorial again. I have added more information.

RE: Steed Family in England
I'm not quite sure why you have contacted me regarding burials in Cornwall. I live near London and 250 miles away and a 5 hour drive from Cornwall and have only one or two family history interests in the county. You may be better off contacting someone who has posted Find A Grave memorials at
St Andrew's Churchyard in Calstock, Cornwall ( or the contributor who posted the churchyard photo: (

You could also try contacting the Cornwall opc:

Subscribing to:

or viewing the indespensable Cyndis List:

I hope this helps put you on the right track.

August E Kleinecke

Find A Grave Memorial# 117824917

August E Kleinecke headstone actually reads 1811 (Not 1841). My wife and I transcribe each stone on paper before the photo is taken ( I admit the photo does look like 1841 but is not). August was originally buried in Magnolia Cemetery in Galveston. Lakeview Cemetery was opened in 1887.
Magnolia Cemetery was washing into Galveston Bay and many persons were re-moved to Lakeview in 1897.

All that said, I am not related and will transfer August and all others you requested.

Oops...I spoke too soon. I didn't see the separate email you sent me on George, so if you will, just look at Margaret's memorial for now. I'll finish George's later tonight or in the morning. Thanks.

Thank you for the information on Michelle. I have placed it on her memorial. Are you related to her. I see that you are new to Find A Grave and I want to welcome you to this site. I hope you get as much enjoyment out of it as I do. If I can help you in any way don't hesitate to ask.
Thanks again. Joanne
