It always saddens me when there are no markers - it's very possible none was placed. I so appreciate your efforts to find her and I thank you in advance for going the extra mile - but it is likely she does not have one.

Thank you!!

RE: Edna Lee
Thank you very much for the additional info. I have not searched this family for a bit so have got out of touch with my trails for this family.
Edna May Finan had an unfortunate beginning to her life as her father (John Finan)died before she was born & her mother (Lydia Bowden Finan) died a few months after she was born (& her brother died 4y later). It was a long time before I had found trace of her again. In the 1900 census of Buffalo she is listed as a 'Ward' of Elizabeth Bowden, widow. By 1910 she was married to Charles Milks & Elizabeth 'Beel' & her dau. Hazel were living with them. Elizabeth is listed as 'Mother-in-law' to the Head of the family & Hazel as 'Sister-in-law".
I feel quite certain that Wayne & Elizabeth (Beel) Bowden must be related to Edna May Finan/Bowden/Milks/Lee (b. in Canada) but have not discovered the relationship. Since she was a baby when her mother died, someone had to have taken care of her & it appears this was the family.
Edna's oldest son, Horace has 'Wayne' as a 2nd. name. Her 2nd son Earl has 'Finan' as a 2nd name & her oldest daughter, Frances has 'Elizabeth' as a 2nd. name. This tells me I definitely have the correct family, that Edna knew her background & that she thought a lot of her family who raised her.
Yes, I would very much like to learn any details of Wayne & Elizabeth (Beel) Bowden to try to find the connection that I feel is no coincidence.
Thanks, Mary Lou.

Hi Mary Lou,
I have created memorials for Martin, Nelson, and Sophia Milks at Hillcrest Cemetery in Hamburg, Erie County, New York. I believe these were the three for which you had gravestone photos. Thank you very much for these photos.

RE: Milks
Mary Lou, Thank you very much for the Milks family photos. They mean a lot to me.

Let me make sure that I understand you correctly on the other photos and then I will put up memorials for them with more family data, for you to add the photos. Martin L Milks 1832-1850, Nelson C Milks 1879-1953 and Sophia Milks 1879-1953 are all buried in the Hillcrest Cemetery?

Frank Nester
Mary Lou,
Thank you for your time and effort trying to locate a headstone for Frank Nester. His death notice states that a Requiem High Mass was held at SS Peter & Paul and that burial was in the church cemetery. Apparently either there is no headstone or the information in the death notice is incorrect; I am withdrawing my photo request. Thank you once again.
