Hello! I seen you left a flower for your 2nd great grandfather so figured he would be better off in your hands and transferred him. :)

I got your pics for Leona Rucker's gravesite. I put captions on each of the pictures if you care to click on them to see that.

I found some other members of the Stanbridge family in Jackson and got them linked to each other. Hope this helps.

Thank you so much for responding so quickly. Yes I was referring to the Grandstaff lineage. My husband is a descendant of Moses Grandstaff, one of the brothers of your direct ancestors. Thank you for your information, it really helped sort things out.

I am very confused by all the grandparents you have as ancestors, especially the ones that are brothers of each other. Could you please provide clarification? Thanks for your help with this in advance.

I feel as if we may have a solid connection and maybe a huge missing puzzle piece. Do you have any idea when they came here and where? How many other children were there in Virginia. I have an article for yo7 to read if I may have your email address. I am trying to fit it all together.

|Syd Gardner||RE: I need some clarification ~|
My apologies concerning John M Hollis' memorial and the names of his parents ~ I suspect that this is one of those times that someone passed on to me names for his parents and I simply added them to the memorial without checking into it further. And, without being able to verify them, I've deleted what I have for his parents and will go with what you've given me.

You are suggesting that I link the memorials of William Knight Hollis (1821-1901) and Nancy (Johnson) Hollis (1823-1906) as the parents of John M Hollis (1839-1926), whose memorial is 129876932: However, according to John's Death Certificate, his parents are John Hollis and Delia (Nolen) Hollis.
If the Death Certificate is incorrect and you have a source that has William and Nancy as his parents, I'd like to be aware of that before I make any changes in John's memorial regarding his parentage.

I went out to the office at Oak Hill Cemetery in Eugene, Oregon before I headed out to Rest Lawn. They manage both Rest Lawn in Junction City and Oak Hill in Eugene. James Daugherty is buried at Rest Lawn, in the Garden of Arbors, Block A 32, Space A-2. From your comments you were looking in the correct place. George Mack Daugherty has a headstone at Block A 32, Space A-1 and John P is Block A 32, Space 5. Only grass between these to headstones where James is Buried in an unmarked grave. Rest Lawn is really a nice cemetery, beautiful setting in the country, huge trees and very well maintained. Let me know if I can help you with any other information.

Re memorial #135447048 Lewis Grandstaff 1809-1890.
Will you please change the memorial from "Burial Unknown" to Irville Cemetery, Nashport, Muskingum Co, Ohio?
Thanks to the Obit you put on your memorial for Lewis Grandstaff 1809-1890, I was to finally figure out that he is buried in Irville cemetery, Nashport, Muskingum Co, Ohio.
The last sentence says "The remains of Lewis Grandstaff were taken to Nashport near Zanesville today for burial...." Irville Cemetery is where some of his children are also buried.
Also, he died on May 14, 1890 (not May 4).
The first line of the obit says he died 3p.m. Wednesday. The last line notes the Bucyrus Journal, May 16, 1890. Checking the 1890 calander, May 16th was a Friday, and Wednesday was be May 14th.
Thank you so much!

Greetings! This cemetery will not give out grave locations to photographers, citing privacy reasons. With thousands of burials, a location is necessary. Please call their office at 419-536-8321 to get the location. I go there at least once a week when the office is closed to do the requests. Thanks!
