|Colleen Sanders Broyles||I've removed it :)|
Okay just checked and found it fairly quickly and I always try to abide by the "law" lol. Here's Find A Grave's response to this situation. I did check myentry a little bit more and realize I added it because it was on the burial list sheet Ihad used back in 2010.
"it is not always possible to determine if the person is living or not. Please do not add pre-need memorials from (1931-present) to Find A Grave. "

Thanks for the message about Jessie not having passed yet. This would be what is called a "pre-needs" memorial and is acceptable for 1935 and before births...pretty sure that's the date. I'll check and make sure and if it's not I'll remove the memorial. I never used to add them for stones that had names for folks I wasn't sure had passed but rules have changed and it's possible I remove it and tomorrow someone else could add it again as it's become a contest it seems these days.

This name might be spelled as Canady. Did you see any Canadys in that cemetery? I often see see the Canady name spelled as Cannada or some other way.
Thanks for your help.

Thank you for trying to get this photo. Your right, the stone is almost unreadable and that is a shame.

OK. Will do. How did you find out that the U.S. marker was placed in 1938 & Removed Jan. 1, 1943 at request of daughter from New York City. Is that in the cemetery office records? MFS

|Mary Fee Spacher||Owen Fee - Find A Grave Memorial# 117658361|
Hi Mattheew & Chrissy,
My g grandfather's brother is Owen F. Fee, for which you have made a memorial (Memorial# 117658361). The history of this gravestone is interesting. Back in the 1930s, a relative applied for a veteran's headstone for Owen. It was delivered to Holy Sepulchre Cem. but it had the wrong death date on it. Owen Fee died Nov 9, 1881 (11/9/81). The stone carvers switched the numbers for Owen's date from 11/9 to 9/11. That stone was never placed. You might also notice that the document for headstone application has all the info check-marked except his death date. My father & I finally obtained a stone for Owen in 2014 with the correct date on it. He now has a memorial in Find A Grave (Memorial# 65158574). I just thought you would want to know this information. ~Mary Fee Spacher~

I now live in Southwest Utah. I came here 20+ years ago to fight wildfire, got married to a Utah woman and here I stay. My kin came to NC in the late 1600s from Virginia. Before that Maryland and England (on my fathers side). On my mothers side they came from Ireland during "the great migration". I still have kin I see every two years in Macon County, NC for family reunion.
