Brandy, Lish used both spellings in various records, and his father used BEARD. However, the original name, as traced to his father's family in Watauga Co., NC, all spelled the name
BAIRD. As a result, I prefer to use both names in the listing.
Thanks for your help.

RE: Edgar Wilson Lovelady
I think that may be the case since there is no mention of Joe Lovelady having a first wife other than Sara Burrow.

Edgar Wilson Lovelady
Hi, Someone left me a message about the note I left on Edgar Lovelady's bio about his mother. His death certificate says his mother was Sarah Burrow, the 1880 census shows Joe Green Lovelady married to Sarah E and the 1900 census shows they have been married 21 years and Edgar is listed with them as 19 . The Macon Roots book also lists Sarah Burrow Gregory as the wife of Joe Green Lovelady. Her obituary also shows her to be Sara Elizabeth Burrow Gregory Lovelady and lists her Gregory and Lovelady children and also the widow of Joe Lovelady, so I will stick with the bio I show on the grave for now.

RE: Baird and more Baird
Brandy, you may want to bring a sack lunch on this journey. My paternal great- grandmother was Elvira Campbell Parker (Parker Cemetery, Hickman Co. TN). Her mother was Angeline Tarkington Campbell(Martin Cemetery, Hickman Co. TN.- the small one). Her grandfather was John G. Tarkington (Darden Cemetery, Hickman Co. TN). One other of his daughters was Elvira Tarkington. She married Albert Galatin Baird, son of Edwin Baird & Jane Clampett. He was born Sept.14,1833,Hickman Co. TN and died Mar.8,1862 in Hickman Co. TN. They had two sons:William Campbell Baird,b.Dec.26,1861 in Hickman,Co.TN;d.June 15,1941 in Hardin Co. TN. And Albert Galatin Baird,Jr. b.Dec.26,1861 in Hickman Co. TN; d.Mar.26,1930 in Hickman Co. TN. Check out My. Oliver Cemetery in Davidson Co. TN & Woodlawn Cemetery in Davidson Co. TN. There more Baird's in this book that I bought. I didn't know that I was related to Tarkington's until a few months aga. It's entitled Tarkington's of Tennessee: Genealogy of John G. Tarkington by Sarah Peery Armistead, Ova Lee Peery Sawyer & Lorraine Peery Russell. Wow, I think I need a nap, later. Tim

RE: more Baird
Hello Brandy, this could get confusing, but follow along. My maternal grandmother was Clara May Bishop Tidwell(Wrigley Methodist Church Cemetery,Hickman Co.,TN), her mother was Tennessee(Tennie) Bradford Bishop Clay(Napier Cemetery,Lewis Co.TN),Tennie's father was William Wiley Bradford (Gossett Cemetery, Hickman Co. TN.). One other of Wiley's daughters was Amanda Bradford. She was married 4 times: Thomas J. Anglin; James Kennedy;Shade C.Ratliff; and DeWitt Clinton Baird(married July 10,1907 in Hickman Co. TN. No children were mentioned. More coming up soon from a Tarkington book that I am related to.

RE: Cynthia
I really don't have anything about Baird's except Cynthia Hay married to Jerome Bonaparte Baird(guess you can see where I got Napoleon from, sorry about that). Cynthia's parents were Benjamin Hay and Mehulda Parker Tidwell Hay( Parker-Fowlkes Cem.(listed as Fowlkes Cem.). Mehulda's first husband was Francis Frank Tidwell. He is also related to me. Just about every family in northern Hickman, southern Dickson Counties and the Fairview area of Williamson Co. of TN that has been here for 150 years or more are related to me and each other. Tim

You are welcome. It was a lot walking to get there. Me & a buddy of mine (that is related on my Bishop-Bradford side) have a knack for finding these old hidden cemeteries. He knows of a guy that has adjacent land and my friend's brother lives near there. I wonder why Minerva is buried away from her husband Hiram ( his headstone says King Hiram). One of their sons (Napoleon) married Cynthia Hay,daughter of Mahulda Parker Tidwell Hay( Parker-Fowlkes Cem.Dickson Co. TN. One of Mahulda's brothers (Joseph A. Parker) was my 2nd great grandfather(burial unknown).Their parents were Moses Parker & Hannah Johnson Parker (Parker-Fowlkes Cem.Dickson Co. TN)

RE: Clinton Grove
Hi Brandy-

There are a number of people who are (or recently have been) working on Clinton Grove. I spent 7 months in 2011 updating existing records in the genealogy collection at the Mount Clemens Public Library. The previous reading done by the Macomb County Genealogy group was done from 1975-1977, with no computers and no digital cameras--they hand wrote what they saw, and used a typewriter for the books that were created! I went through taking digital photos of all marked graves from about 1975 to the date I was there, and put the data into Excel. I didn't have access to the office records so unmarked graves were not part of my project, but when I ran into trouble the office staff was extremely helpful. The books from the 1975-1977 work and my work from 2011 are in the genealogy room at the Mount Clemens Public Library. (I added Find A Grave memorials for all of the stones I read).

Let me know if you're interested in joining the Genealogy Group (no dues, no membership, but about 400 people are on the e-mail list).

Are you sure her middle name is Gibbs? Or should it be her maiden name?

Hi Brandy-

When I read the Clinton Grove Cemetery in 2011 the plot and grave numbers weren't available on the web like they are now. I've not bothered to go to each memorial, look them up, and then add the plot and grave numbers.

If you want to continue to do that for me, I thank you.

Hi Brandy, Thank you for the plot updates which are on the Clinton Grove website. If these are family members, I'd be happy to transfer if you send me requests.

Thank you for responding :).

I am new to this site, I came across this site by chance while searching for him and have no idea how this all works. Perhaps at a later date and just leave things as it is for now?

Thank you so much for the time you have taken to do what you do!

Joseph D. Lapierre memorial

Thank you so very much for posting up my father's memorial. I have been searching for a long time. When he passed, I was not allowed to attend his funeral as they felt I was too young to travel out of state to attend. Now I can plan a trip to visit his site and finally be able to say my 'goodbyes' properly.

I am so grateful!
