ATHEY
Hi Darlene,

Do you by chance have a marriage record of Lloyd Milton Athey 1899-1995 to Margaret Sullivan 1905-?, or any type of proof?

Thanks for any help you may be able to give me.

JMB Kelly deeds
Right--even the description alone would be enough for me to locate them. Thanks!

House fire
Darlene,

Thanks for the very friendly reply. I'm so sorry to learn that you had to go through that experience (house fire). I wouldn't wish anything like that on my worst enemy (and you're a valued cousin!).

Very soon, I will be ordering JMB Kelly's 1910 Confederate pension appl. from the Alabama Archives. I will be glad to forward a copy to you. I would be grateful in the meantime for JPEG copies of those deeds, if you don't mind sharing them!

I saw and downloaded the beautiful photo of Olive Kelly Barnard you had posted (but were you aware that the pixel quality is poor--meaning that when one attempts to enlarge the photo, it only gets blurry. ...)? If I were you, I would re-scan it at a level of at least 300 DPI. I also posted another photo of Olive on her Find-a-Grave page which I found on several Ancestry trees. It is a much better quality scan, even though it presents Olive in her mourning black, and wearing an obviously grief-stricken face.

Regards,

Terry

Page for Thomas Jefferson Kelly
Hi cousin Darlene,

Just wanted to let you know that I created a page for Olive's brother, Thomas Jefferson Kelly.

I sure wish I could find a death date and place, and burial place for my own ancestor, J.M.B. Kelly, their brother! I know he was in Hartford, Geneva Co., Ala., in 1910, because of his Confederate pension appl., but I'll be danged if I can find him in the census, there, or anywhere. ...

(And of course the 'Holy Grail' would be to find some cousin one day who has a photo of J.M.B. Kelly ... My late grandmother Martha Kelly White Bunn once had numerous unidentified old photos--I know, because I used to rummage through them when I was in my teens. But by the time of her death in 2008, they had all disappeared, sadly. I was not the one in control of her estate, or I would have surely looked for them. In any case, Martha and her husband were relocated numerous times as they got older, and those old photos were probably simply thrown out when they made one of those moves. ... Alas. Makes me wish I had asked for them more vehemently when I was a teen.)

Take care,

Terry White

Henry and Elizabeth Pascoe
Thank you for the information.

I am sharing this with my 'sister'. She has much information on the Temple family and I am interested in seeing how they are connected.

The photo of the stone for Elizabeth and Lloyd was under a tree and very dark. It did not come out as good as I would like. If I have a chance my next trip to CO, I will try to get a better photo using some baking soda in the lettering.

Thanks so much.

Thank you for the information on the link for Henry and Elizabeth.

I am not related but my 'adopted sister' is. Do you have more information on this family or are you related?

The date of death came from the Church records that are housed in the Bucks County Historical Society Library in Doylestown. The date of birth I calculated. I don't know which one is correct. Maybe they are different people. Sorry i don't have more information.

What I was saying was the bio on Joseph gives Judiths date of birth as Dec 4 1810. I will correct that on her memorial to make that clearer.

Hi Darlene. Here is what info I have.

Old Mason County Death Records give her date of death as Jan 9, 1887. Age at death as 76 years, 2 mos 5 days. This gives date of birth as Nov 4, 1810.

The bio on Joseph gives date of birth as Dec 4, 1810.

Looking at the my hard to read photo, it looks like the age at death is 76 years, 1 mos 5 days, this gives a birthdate of Dec 4, 1810.

That date seems to be the one on the tombstone, although hard to read as you know!

I will get out there in the spring and get a better photo!

Farm Girl from MO.
Permelia Rebecca (White) Roberts death date.
A fellow family researcher was visiting a library in Quincy, Illinois and found somewhere in their files where Permelia died on Jan. 7, 1893. I have never seen a copy of this file. Other sources say Permelia may have died in about 1867 in Adams County, Ill. I have no information about her ever being divorced from Daniel Sheldon Roberts. I do have a copy of Daniel & Permelia's marriage record (Sept. 27, 1846) in Athens County, Ohio.

It states:
The State of Ohio Athens County
This is to Certify that on the 27th day of September AD 1846 I Joined in marriage Daniel S Roberts and Permelia White by virtue of a License for that purpose

All the info. I have about Permelia Roberts came from family records. I have no way to prove or disprove any of the info. on her memorial.

Would you happen to remember the names of the individuals that you sent me edits for as I was called away from my computer just after I approved the edits you sent. I guess I should have written the names down and now I have forgotten who they were for! Please refresh my memory. Thanks again, Farm Girl from MO.
