James Franklin
Hello. I just added a photo of Mr Franklin's tombstone but I did not see the note to add his wife and son's tombstone. Please add photo requests for them to remind me to get those photos and I will try to stop by there soon and get the photos. I don't live too far away and will try to get back by there.

I have had a request to update information regarding Oliver Franklin Jr memorial. I noticed you added a Death Certificate to the memorial. Do you wish to have the memorial transferred to you per Find A Grave guidelines or are you related to Oliver.

Your welcome Steve
I will check again to see if more Franklin's were beside her. The area was covered in leaves and it took a while to find. Now that I know where she is I will double check. I'm working on a block right next to her. I sent corrections to the holder of the memorial shes in Block 28-A lot 160.
I also made corrections for her birth and death dates to Tim

RE: Lula Franklin Callaway
Steve, The memorial was created from a listing of the cemetery.
It is possible for the society there to find you a obit, that would help.
Wish I could help you more.

Julia Ather
Sanaz Nezami
Hi. I noticed that you put in a request for a picture of Sanaz's gravestone. She JUST got one according to Marquette's newspaper, the Mining Journal (at, on January 7). I can't see the entire article because I don't subscribe, but the beginning sentence of the article is "Among the graves in Marquette's 113-acre Park Cemetery is a small, flat granite stone marking where Sanaz Mezami was laid to rest." There's a picture of some flowers and a pot someone erected, but for now, her stone is covered in snow and I'm sure will be for a few months. I'm just letting you know the situation.

RE: James Babe Franklin
Yes, he would have gone through Hooper-Weaver in Grass Valley.

RE: James Babe Franklin
This is from my friend at the mortuary here in Grass Valley: "Well, this is why I couldn't find him. There IS a James Babe Franklin (1891 - 1976). But he is not at Greenwood. Nor is he at any of the cemeteries. He was scattered at sea".

So, as you can see, you'll need to change his memorial and remove him from Greenwood and put him in a non-cemetery memorial. I've had to do that from time to time. Glad we got it figured out.

RE: Weisbecker
That's right. No one has done it yet. Feel free to make a memorial. I'll add the photo when we take it.

Robert K. Weisbecker
Yes, we have record of a Robert K. Weisbecker, b. 16 Nov 1919, d. 07 Jan 1943 - 1st Lt. Air Corps, WWII buried in Section 30 of the Oak Grove Cemetery in La Crosse, WI. As a society this summer, we've completed Section 25. I expect we'll get to this section next summer.

Robert Lee Franklin #40410019
Hi Steve,
I don't believe this is the Lee Franklin you are searching for. I have Roberts parents as Charles Franklin 1849 1920 and Amanda Farris 1854 1889. This Robert was married to Azelea Burks 1903 1966. I hope this helps in your search.
All the best.

G Franklin
Hi Steve. I'm posting the photos of the grave of G. Franklin. Sorry, there is no birth date on the marker, but that is not unusual for Civil War burials. I imagine the military just didn't keep very good records back them. I'm curious about G. Franklin, though. Was he from Louisiana, as his marker indicates?
