RE: Johnston ross, lakeside cemetery
Hi,
It has been 2 years since we took that picture, but if I wanted to find it, I would try the far west section, on the left as you enter from the west road. If it isn't there, try the section just East of that, on the right side of the entrance road.
To be honest, I don't remember where it was, but that is my best guess.
I see from my comment on the picture, that I had trouble reading it, and that is where the oldest tombstones seem to be in the cemetery.
We live a long ways away, too, or I would go over and look for it. We usually take some photos when we visit. My husband's grandparents and other relatives are buried there. Such a pretty place. So peaceful.
Sorry I can't pinpoint it better for you.
Hope you can find it.
Patty

I still have it showing when I pull it up. If you still have a problem viewing I can download it and reload again. Thanks!

Hi Earl!

I guess you are speaking of W. C. Ross?

So glad to connect with you. Yes, my husband is David Chain, grandson of Virgil & Mary Chain and great-grandson of Will & Lena (Hall) Chain. Will and John were brothers.

Some years ago my husband's Dad, Garland Chain, showed me the area where he and a couple of other Ross' are buried. I'm pretty sure I know where the lots are, but couldn't tell you exactly which plot. I can probably get you pretty close. Let me check with the cemetery secretary and get back to you.
