RE: Wiley Dallas Vaghn
Sorry Angie, he does not seem to be buried at Oak Hill, in Kingsport, TN. Although, I see from an entry on Ancestry that he died in Sullivan Co., TN. I took every grave site in Oak Hill and did not find a grave site for him. I am presently working on another Cem. and may run across his grave site at some time. Sorry I could not be more help.

Frances Iona Borden DeSpain
Hi Angie. If you check the obits in The Indianapolis Star for Sunday, October 26, 2014, you'll find an obituary for Frances and you can create a memorial for her. She died last Friday.

black headstones
Don't know if there is a 'trick' to it. But be sure the sun isn't shining directly on the stone. Early morning or late afternoon when the sun isn't so bright should work better too. Good luck. Helen

Janet McColley Franklin
Becci Ross Despain
Hi, I'm so sorry. I was checking the newspaper and I seen Becci had passed away. I went to school with her. I was really shocked to hear she's gone. She was always so sweet in school but don't think I seen her since. I just wanted to give my heart felt sympathy to you and the rest of the family. God bless, Janet McColley Franklin and also for Jane Proctor, she is another classmate she graduated with. I'll call her tomorrow and let her know.

Nevah E. Faust Photo
I added the photo from the Dowling Cemetery, however the headstone did not say "Faust" the stone was on the Freeman plot with Ray C. 1882-1966 and Esther P. 1885-1929. All of the stones looked alike and there was no last name on any of them. I noticed it because of the spelling of "Nevah" and that the dates on the stone were correct. If this is not your relative please feel free to remove the photo. Thank you.

Not sure if related, i'm on wrong computer right now, I do know that our family owned the land that the cemetery is on. William Wallace Mack, he was also sexton for the cemetery. I remember playing there when I was a small child, William was my great grand father.

I am putting up some old photos that Russell Perkins took a few years ago. Once I go back to KY later this year I will finish taking this cemetery and get better quality photos! So check back later in the winter.

Hello Angie,
make sure you are logged in to your facebook account. Click on the edit feature and then select the 'suggest a change or item' and that will open up a box to write your message in. Sorry I didn't include that one additional step.

top of the page
to the right
says 3 things.
transfer menagement...EDIT...delete
click on edit.
ASK for transfer on the blank page that comes up.
include your memorial number.
Don't feel bad about being new.
It took me a long time to learn too.
Just trying to use this as a teaching tool.
You can also use that EDIT line to write to me

On each of their memorials their is an (edit) in the top right corner. Click on the edit and then type in the empty box a message saying you would like a transfer of this memorial and also state your relationship to the individual.

Also include your own findagrave # so we can transfer them to you.
Try one, and see how easy it is.

Hi, I see you are new to find a grave. Welcome. If you would like to have the memorials for your grandparents, I will transfer them to you, since you are within the 4 generations. Please go to their page, and in the right top corner you will see an "edit" box. Click on that and a page will come up. Request the transfer and be sure to give your find-a-grave number (at the top of your home page). Do this for BOTH memorials. That way there are no mistakes made in the tranfer. (I could do this, but you NEED to learn how!)
When you get your grandfather's memorial, you can add obituary-type information, or personal information, whatever you wish, or nothing.
You can also use the "virtual cemetery" for anyone that is not within the 4 generations (find-grave-rules) and make your own family cemetery, which is easy to keep track up. Check mine out. I have several, for different families, (although they are not complete).
