PS - Your picture of Charles Brigdon and family is fantastic! And really reinforces the question of "what happened to Phoebe?" How in the world did she end up in such a backwoods and poor family?

Hi Bill, Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner! I'd very much love to chat more with you and exchange what information we have. Do you know if there is a way to exchange a private message on this site? I'd like to give you my email but would prefer not to share it publicly. I'd really love to hear more about this family, and I'd love to share more of what I know about Phoebe and her Rose family! - Marisa :)

RE:
Hi Bill,

Thanks for sending the edits. I've known about Phoebe's first marriage to Edmund Brazier/Brasher and her subsequent marriage to John (from who I am descended). But I actually just came across this family tree of Phoebe's parents and grandparents about 5 or 6 months ago. Unfortunately, due to a number of stressful family situations, I've not been keeping up with my genealogy postings/edits. But I was so intrigued to learn about Phoebe's family, as one, my grandmother had thought she was Irish - so I was very surprised to learn she was English. But also, her marriage to John Rose brought her very low. They were backwoods, dirt poor, lower class people. According to my great-grandfather, her son William, she would give birth and be straight back in the fields the same day. But in the little bit of research I've done, her father and siblings looked to be much more respectable people. So I'm very intrigued to know more about her history. Had you ever seen the photo of Phoebe I posted here? You can see what a hard life she had just looking at her - this picture has always made me sad. Does your wife have any family history or stories about this side of the family that have been passed down to her? Thanks for your message. I'd love to talk some more.

Best,
Marisa

I made the changes and transferred Samuel to you. Do you have any idea where Harriet died? Since Samuel died young, did she remarry?
