|Elliott-Lane||RE: Thank You!|
I took the photos of the other headstones when I was there for my dad's funeral.
I'm just getting started with Find A Grave. I've been working on my family history off and on for several years. I now have a friend interested in her family history and we are working together. We hope to help other by photographing other headstones and posting them. (Once the weather gets a little cooler.)
I really hope I can return the favor if you find your relative who moved to Oklahoma!

I live in Oklahoma and I didn't know when I would ever be able to make it back to Ohio. (It's a LONG drive!) I appreciate you so much!

Actually, there are many grave sites that haven't been recorded yet. Some people have been busy this past winter, and I think the internment number has risen, though, about 1400 memorials since last fall.

I do live in Dekalb County, I have for 34+ years. I have been an active photo volunteer and contributor for Find A Grave for the past 2 1/2 years. I fulfilled a few photo requests for the west side about 3 weeks ago, and I realized then that most of the grave sites there have not been recorded on Find A Grave. Therefore, I have been working with library sources and other records to create memorials up to 1987, and a few after that. Yet in walking the grounds to confirm information, I know that is probably just as many to be done from 1987 to the present. I do not plan to walk and record any of those. I am not photographing either. Usually I walk, record and "mow" (walking rows and photographing), but I have decided to approach things a bit differently this time. You have taken some nice photos. I look forward to seeing more of your work!! There is plenty of work to be done.

Thanks for that explanation. I didn't have a clue and wouldn't have thought it was a title search.
Your farm's history sounds very interesting.

Christine, I have transferred the memorial to you. Walter is related to me by marriage. His wife Edith is one of my distant cousins.

Thank you for providing the first name of her second husband. Can you tell me what the "abstract" of your house is? I've never heard of that. Do you have any idea where Jacob is buried? Thanks.

What a pleasant surprise when I opened my email and saw that you had fulfilled my requests. Thank you for adding the headstone photos for brothers Anthony Weaver and Samuel Weaver at Brown Cemetery. Thank you for showing the Civil War marker for Samuel. Not everyone does that and I think it is important as it confirms that the person was a veteran and in which war/conflict they served.

Thank you much for going to get the nice photo for me. It is quite a impressive headstone. I appreciate you and all that do this great work for those of us that cannot go ourselves.

When you sent me the update on William Lock in the G R Vets Cemetery, I looked at his parents and the picture was there.
It's so nice to put faces to memorials.

Did Charlotte Adella Brown go by the name Della and was she married to Joe D. Brown? 1891-1970
If so, I have the marker photo and as soon as you enter Joe's listing, I will ad the photos for both of them.
Welcome to the wonderful world of Find A Grave.
