You're welcome, but I actually know very little about him. I have a zillion Merkel cousins and I never met a single one of them, sorry to say.

Rose Elizabeth Henry Memorial# 18256334, first married George W. Owens Memorial# 142171516 then divorced. She next married William M. Walker Memorial# 114121301. After his death she married Wayne S. Chunn Memorial# 74927350 in 1960. If you see the obituary of Mr. Chun can see the connections. I hope this helps. Gary

It appears your post of Rose Walker (Memorial# 114121231) as a spouse of William Walker (Memorial# 114121301) is a double.

I declined edit as This Roger was born in Minnesota, with middle name of George. May be similar but I don't believe him to be who you are looking for.
Heavens, haven't sent send on this one, and you are answering me already! lol
Have a great day!

Really couldn't find anything on Silvia Reuters, except as you say the death index where she died in 1941.
Couldn't find an obit for her.....but there was one article that Miss Silvia Sargent of St. Louis was visiting her mother Mrs. Effie Glenn in Franklin. May 19, 1909; and another Mrs. Effie Glenn returned home this week. She had been a patient in the hospital in Jacksonville for 9 weeks. Mrs. Beddingfield will take care of her.
Not sure but it looks to me like her mother must have remarried to a Dr. Charles I. Glenn. Dr. Charles I. Glenn of New Berlin married Effie Wright of Franklin on June 26, 1907 in Jersey County at the court house. Charles Glenn died in 1918 and Effie in 1954, both are buried in Franklin Cemetery.
In the 1930 and 1940 census, living with Effie Glenn is her daughter Dorothea Sargent.

Thank you for transferring the Dickeys and for any other help with the family. The Dares are so extensive and moved so quickly, they are impossible to keep straight. Really appreciate your help.

I don't know how to answer your question about half-siblings. First because you did not use the "Edit" button so I could look at the page. There are many Bruce's. Please explain where you got the info and memorial numbers. Thanks.

Sometimes the old ways are the best ways and we couldn't see where it hurt either. But, guess some people went too far with it (chalk), anyway, I had been looking for a gr aunt and had checked everywhere I could think of in all of the usual places. Census reports always had her ending up in the same location and that was that. About two months ago my friend and I walked a cemetery about 35 miles north of us, we did it once and then decided to go back again and finish it. Well, the second time we found my gr aunt buried there. She had married and moved and the records confirmed that it was her. So neat!! And, it was so unexpected! Have a great day!

That is frowned upon now. Although my friend and I have seen stones that have been chalked and she got a nasty email about one she took a photo of (the person had not put the photo on of the stone)and she wasn't the one who had chalked the stone. It does bring the details out on some though! Another way is to place a piece of paper on top and do a pencil rub of the stone. Best to check with the cemetery first to see if it is ok to do. Happy that I was able to help you find a relative.

|Steph T||Holliday & Orr Children at Coulterville Cemetery|
Hey Kathryn - Steph, here. The other day I was struck by a thought and stopped at the cemetery this evening and guess what I found!?!? All five of the children of Wm and Elizabeth Holliday are buried in the same plot with them - but the names are listed on the back of the stone and I missed it! I have posted photos of front and back of the marker on each of the children's memorials if you wish to take a look. Also made up a picture showing outline of the Orr plot for their children. Happy Autumn! Steph

Thank you for transferring these two memorials to me. My wife and I just received a box of materials that were her great-grandmother's. We have original doc's dating back as far as 1862! We are stunned - but thrilled to have so much info to work with.
