RE: Leo Peter Duffrin IV
No I am not that close to the Duffrin family line. I just like the challenge that finding all the people presents.

RE: Leo Peter Duffrin IV
I believe that he had two sons named Leo. One died as a young child and the other was with his new wife. I think that is what I remember about my research.

RE: Henry McNulty
It was the folks at the cemetery who told me that there wasn't a marker. They have been very helpful to me in my investigations around Mary and her sons. Henry and his family are well known. He is also responsible for buying Mary's grave and the one next to it, which is recorded to have another Henry McNulty who was moved from Calvary at the same time as Mary's burial. There is a chance that this is another one of Henry's son's who died in childbirth or at a very young age, but I suspect that it might be another McNulty brother. I simply don't know.

I haven't had any volunteers dig around Mary's gravesite to see if a marker is sunk. I suppose that is a likely next step. I am in Utah and visit Milwaukee every decade or so.

Thank you for helping me on this!

RE: Henry McNulty
Thank you Peggy.
There are two of Henry's brothers that I cannot pin down. James and Edward are possibly buried there but I cannot find enough data to positively tie them to McNultys in Holy Cross. I am still searching.

What is most curious to me is the lack of grave marker for Mary. Three of her son's who attended her funeral certainly had money for a marker, yet none exists. Very curious.
Thank you for your help!

Henry McNulty

I have found you as the 'owner' of Henry McNulty's grave memorial (#132403184) at Holy Cross in Milwaukee. Henry is my 2nd Great Uncle. His mother Mary is also buried in Holy Cross (# 139366249) and I believe that his father is buried at St. Jerome in Columbus WI (# 155412936). Can I ask if you can link him to his parents, please?

Thank you!

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. Been real busy. She first married Edward Wright on May 29, 1943, second married on June 8, 1974 to Howard Jones and her last husband is William Ashby she must have married him sometime between July 1974 and 1977 I can't find an online record of marriage. Hope this helps.

Peggy, I just found a document on an Ancestry tree that may be helpful. Don't know if you can open this. Please let me know if you can. It seems to have an actual signature but because of the old style writing, I can't tell if it's a "G" or a "K":

I started working on the Martin tree when I found a Find A Grave memorial for Catherine Martin Schuh
(Daughter of Ambrose who seems to be a brother of your relative) which linked all of her children to another memorial. Have it partially straightened out. Had to send correction notices to 5 people. Find A Grave is wonderful but every once in awhile there are mislinks. Thanks for all you do for other too!

Hi Peggy,

Since your family history says her name was Granz, you most likely are correct.

I found about 5 trees on Ancestry listing her as"Kranz". It's likely they copied the information from each other. The source they give is: Helena Kranz
Birth 15 Aug 1813
Mehring, Rheinland, GermanyDIFFERENT
Death 28 Mar 1868
Addison, Washington, Wisconsin, USA
Family Info:
Petri Kranz (1781-)
Gertrudis Irmisch (1771-)
August L Martin (1810-1884)
Married 1835
Anton (1840-1899
I don't have international Ancestry, but I see a source listed:
Germany, Select Births and Baptisms, 1558-1898 (in German)
NAME: Anna Helena Kranz
MOTHER: Gertrudis Irmisch
FATHER: Petri Kranz
BAPTISM: date - location

Hope this helps.

RE: Earl Henry Pecotte
Thank you! I will send you a transfer request. FYI - I was told by a Pecotte family member that his wife was cremated. I thought that it was great to see her grave stone on-line. I also have Earl's obituary if you are interested.

Thanks Peggy,
I did contact the member that posted the memorial re the cemetery location but did not receive a reply. Maybe I should delete the request. Don't want to send anyone on a wild goose chase!

Don't you know girls get younger as they age.

Maybe the marker was added when Mary died. And they didn't know.

I have O'Connell in my family but they are from PA.
