RE: John & Lucinda Campbell
So Loyal, do I have them in the right cemetery? I have John Campbell (138175794) and Lucinda Goodwin Campbell (138176777) in Goodwin Cemetery. You mention Campbell Cemetery and Oliver Cemetery. Do I need to move them? You're doing such great work on these cemeteries in Carter County. I'm sorry to hear you're finding them in bad condition. I've been working on my Dutch ancestors. The practice in the Netherlands is to rent the grave for a generation or so (more if there is family who will continue to pay), and then put the remains in a collective grave and destroy the gravestone. Ack! Anyway, let me know if I need to fix John & Lucinda. Thanks for all you do!

# 30177715 Jacob Taylor

I have a lot of the people mentioned on slips of paper in Jacob's wallet under my heading "Taylor Family TN."

I'll have to find the wallet and look through it again. Some of the soldiers signatures are on IOUs in the wallet.

Taylors
I became interested in your part of the country whenever I bought an old wallet at an antique store belonging to one of the Taylors who belonged to the Union Regt there during the Civil War, There were many IOUs in the wallet with signatures of some of the soldiers in that Regiment. Also some of my Carter family were original settlers there as well as Virginia.

RE: John Bate Treadway Cemetery
This is information given to me and my a Treadway ancestor. I don't know if it could merge with another listed but the directions given are:

Approximately 100 yards west of Nave Road Extension about 8/10 miles from intersection with Siam Road, Elizabethton, TN

Hope this helps and I will try to add these directions to findagrave. - If for some reason you discover the cemetery and find it is listed under another name please let me know.

John Heaton
Hello, thanks for looking for John Heaton. I am trying to separate him from another John Heaton who is buried in PA. If I could find the grave it would really solve a mystery! Appreciate you taking the time to search.

I appreciate you adding the picture of the headstone to the memorial for Roby Osborne. He is the brother of my grandmother, Martha Alice Osborne Wayman. By the way..... thanks for your service to our country.

Okay, well thanks for all the help you can offer. There are many different spellings of relatives either on the TN side or NC side. Ex: Stansberry, Stanberry, Stansbury, Stanbery.

Thanks for the photo of Louisa Stansberry Bryant headstone photo! I wasn't sure if she was there. I'm not sure how large the cemetery is, but would it be too much to ask if you saw any other Stansberry's or Bryant's?
