RE: Adella Myers @ Woodlawn/Leslie
Sorry, all I saw was her name and "no gravestone". I believe they recorded her last name as having an "s"; Myers.

RE: DeMosses in Harrison Center/Wooden Cemetery
Hi Larry,
There are two Thomas DeMoss listed in Wooden Cemetery. Are you related to both of them? I will make a note and get to that cemetery when I am able to, and see what I can read on the stones.
I am glad the website helped! It is very informative in many aspects.
Have a blessed day!

RE: DeMosses in Harrison Center/Wooden Cemetery
Hi Larry,
The information about the Woodden Cemetery you are looking for should be here:

The library has changed their site a little bit recently but you should find some information here. The cemetery lists are from Tombaugh's who actually walked the cemeteries and made the lists. Most are from Fulton County, however they did go to a few in neighboring counties, so Woodden Cemetery (Harrison Center) is listed here. They are not current as they walked them years ago.

Hopefully in all their research and publishings that are now online, you will find some worthwhile research. All of these are searchable files (I think) so you can search for the name of part of the name and it will show up.

If I can help you any more, please feel free to contact me and I will see what I can do. I don't live too far from Woodden Cemetery if you would like me to look at anything. Depending on the weather.

Thank you for the contact!
Have a blessed day!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for finding where she was buried. Charles Hudson was my great grandfather and no one knew where she was buried.

Hi Larry,
Yes, those photos for Julia Mayville and Louise and August Schoeneman were taken at St. Mary Cemetery.
Thank you for creating and updating the information of the memorials.

RE: Grand View visitation hours as of October 2014?
Sorry for the delay getting back to you....yes, it's still Sunday, 12-4.

Lots of cleanup going on since the new owner came on board.

Someone should be in the office to help find locations if you need help.

RE: Clinton DeMoss
The date posted isnt necessarily the death date but the date of burial. Usually the death date is 1-2 days earlier unless there was some sort of transport involved or a reinterment.

RE: Clinton DeMoss
Most of the info I added came from cemetery records posted online. What is interesting about this one is he is buried in the GAR section in the same plot as John A Dempster who was a hospital steward in the Civil War. Here is a list of everyone that I could find buried in the lot in case any of them may ring a bell:

Dempster John A 12897 12/23/1914 GAR 39 1
Dempster Mary E 19099 3/6/1923 GAR 39 2

Morse Ezekial 10912 11/17/1911 GAR 39 5
Morse Delsina 20665 4/3/1925 GAR 39 6
DeMoss Clinton 10885 10/26/1911 GAR 39 7
Terry Emma 29673 4/10/1937 GAR 39 8
Reagan Bertha 29429 1/2/1937 GAR 39 9

Smith Alsa L Mrs 10785 8/26/1911 GAR 39 11
Drake Amelia E 28842 3/16/1936 GAR 39 12

Do you want me to delete the memorial even though my dates correspond with the tombstone dates?

Do you know where Kathryn's daughter Gini is buried or if she was cremated and her ashes scattered? I noticed that her disposition is unknown by the keeper of the memorial. I assume that Gini is your cousin. Thanks....

RE: Olie
The tranfer isn't necessary, you may just add the obit. Thanks.

William Yowell
Larry, if you could email me your contact info at I can get some pictures and info to you. We are having a ceremony at Mikesell/Yowell cemetery on Sep 10 to put a War of 1812 marker at William's grave. Other Yowell relatives from his children will be in attendance.

I have transferred both the memorials for Pearl Benoit and Minnie Meyer over to your care. I have no connection to either and it seems you do. I don't know how I connected Pearl to the wrong husband but I made the correction. Thank you for catching that.

Eleanor Pearce Rewalt @ Richmond
Yes, absolutely Larry - If you correct your profile by adding the death date and updating her full name, I'll delete my profile and transfer my photos to your Memorial for Eleanor. Thank you for bringing this to my attention - great find !

Pleasant Yowell
I made your suggested corrections for Pleasant Yowell at Mikesell cemetery. It's possible his father is Daniel Walker Yowell, son of William and S is buried there but no stones indicating that have been found there yet. Will try to do further research and see if I can find more info on him.

RE: Lindke Updates
OK, Larry, I'll just leave it out there the way it is until a family member contacts me. I too, add photos when I get an opportunity. Just because I like to and know that it helps others. I like to do it more often but have been so busy lately with a new job that I have not been able to...

Thanks for getting back to me and keep up the good work! I lived in Romeo as a child and Imlay City as a teenager. Will move back there one of these days at least for the summers after I retire.
