James Corcoran Tombstone Cathedral Cemetery
May be Grandfather Tombstone and grave we have looked for in the past. We were told by a rep. from Cathedral that there were no records of James Corcoran, died in mine accident in 1895. Pre Cathedral ownership but also called Hyde Park. Can you tell us what section of cemetery this stone is in? We will try search it. Thank You. Mikey Corcoran

Oops, disregard my previous message about the libary. I guess it has all be changed including their mailing address. The correct e-mail should be:

Their mailing address is: La Plata Library, 30006 Kodiak Place, La Plata, MO. 63549.

Guess I should have doubled check before sending you my first message. Several years ago they were charging a couple of dollars for the obits. but it may be higher now. You might want to call them first or at least try e-mailing them. Hope you get the obit. for Mary Long.

Not sure why the e-mail address for the La Plata Public Library didn't work. Their snail mail address is 102 East Moore, La Plata, Mo. 63549-2411. The e-mail address I thought was the right one if you want to try it again is:

Hi Barbara,
Just a quick note to thank you for the photos you've taken at the Cathedral Cemetery. Because of your work, I was able to find information on my g-father's family, and I want you to know that you are appreciated.

Please, I have a question. Abington Cemetery under the grave listing for William T. Williams is a picture of tombstone for family of "Thomas"
Naomi and William Thomas. Is this an error or was there a name change?
Thank you for all the help you give to us looking for our ancestors.

The name of his mother is as it was typed in the obit. from the newspaper and I prefer not to make changes to an obit. I do think Oran is linked to the correct set of parents. Could Molly Frances have been a nick name? Thanks for your input.

Lisacul Rosie

I have a lot of info on the McGrail/McGreal families but cannot tie Catherine down. My gut feeling she is the mother of the Thomas P Leonard. If something definite crops up I'll drop you a line.

RE: Family
Hi Barb,

I do have Hugh Williams headstone. Im looking for his father Owen Williams. There is a picture of Hughs headstone on his memorial and hes buried with his and Lillians infant son Owen. The Owen Im looking for died in October 28, 1921. He was born in 1866. Sorry for the mixup. Yes, Myers is my married name. My inlaws came from Kinderhook Ny or Germantown. Not sure if any of the ancestors are in PA. I will have to ask my daughter who is doing her fathers side of the family. Im hoping to make a trip down there in the fall and hopefully find some missing info ive been searching for. Hugh had a sister Jennnie (Willams) Chermak who died in 1918 at the young age of 21. She was only married a few months before she passed and cant find any info on her death what so ever. Im hoping my trip will shed light on that mystery. Thank you so much for what your doing and Im wishing you luck. Im not sure if we are related at this point I need to dig deeper as I dont have much info right now. Keep in touch and good luck.. Thanks again..Pennie
