Governor John Bennett #22716873
Hi, I'm interested in the memorial you commented on for Governor John Bennett #22716873. In the bio it says "John Bennett emigrated to America from Ireland as a young man with two of his brothers or possibly his father and an uncle." Do you know where this information came from? Do you have any information about his family, especially siblings/parents? Thanks for your help!

Corrine Porter Payton
She was my great grandmother she was married after Guy passed away. My daughters first name is Payton. I was wondering if you had any additional pictures of her or maybe Guy I have one of him but none of her . None of us knew they lost a child not even my grandmother Corrine's daughter. So this was a big surprise to us. Thank you so much. Patricia Worthington-Lopez

I sent the two you asked for, sorry just now saw the request. We may be related through the Wilson side, there were many of them. My mom was a Wilson. That would be the George Wilson group from Grayson Co. some moved to Ohio Co.

Thank you Judith, for the picture of Stephen and Matilda Westerfield's headstone, although it still doesn't answer the question of Stephen's full name. Many show him as Stephen J. and I have him listed as Daniel Stephen. I guess I'll just have to keep looking for definitive proof. Thanks again for your help. I really appreciate it.

Thank you for the Westerfield headstone. I almost missed it as I have this man recorded as Daniel Stephen and not Stephen J. I'd be interested to know which is correct. Sometime we'll have to figure out just how we are related. That might be interesting too!.

RE: Reuben Henry Harrison
You are quite welcome! I post memorials like that from TV shows I watch - you are the first to reply! I found on the episode of WDYTYA that Brooke Shields and I are distant cousins descended from the French kings. I'm sure there are others, but they didn't show the lineage on the shows. Its always fun to watch the genealogy based TV shows as I'll find new cousins and their research. There are several shows on BYUTV. I've also learned research tips I wouldn't have thought of otherwise. There I've got 5 lines that would be interesting to research and present the lines like they do on those shows - my Slavic lines, my Quaker ancestors from pre-witch trial Salem, Massachusetts, and some of my Revolutionary War ancestors - one who was killed in battle and the other, a Quaker family, who took care of the wounded in the battle for Guilford Courthouse in North Carolina. Enjoy!

Susan Leach Taylor's Headstone: Great Photo!
Thank you for the beautiful photo of her headstone and for taking time to volunteer. Your time and talent mean so much to families like our's, who live far from the cemetery and can't get there to visit. You're the best!

Have a terrific Spring!

RE: Reuben Henry Harrison
Thank you for your response to my note to Reuben Henry Harrison's memorial. I checked and Finding Your Roots is not available on OnDemand on cable right now. Based on the date I posted the note, it would have been a season one or season two episode.

The IMBD website is showing that season two was being broadcast during that time. Here is the IMBD webscreen for Finding Your Roots:

The Episode called "Roots of Freedom" was broadcast on 14 October 2015, which was the same date as I posted the note on his memorial. I don't remember whose tree was being researched. But PBS had been rebroadcasting prior episodes before the new episode is broadcast. By looking at the show summaries, I think it was the Roots of Freedom episode. Amazon is selling individual episodes and the Season Two DVD of the series.

I do normally keep findagrave up while I'm watching Finding Your roots and frequently post virtual notes and flowers for those ancestors who had extraordinary events happen in their lives (as do a lot of genealogists do). I hope this helps you. Let me know if this works for you!

RE: Minnie and Clarence Wilson
Judith, since they are related to you I will simply transfer the memorials to you. But I need their memorial numbers to do so. If you will send them to me I'll get them transferred right away and you can add whatever information you have to them. Happy Hunting! Linda

RE: Absalom Runyon
Hi Judith, Absalom is my ancestor as well. :-) I'm a descendant of Mary Polly's half brother Johnson Runyan.

If you haven't seen it already ... check out my Runyan family tree at:

Absolam is #40 and Mary Polly is #62.

Anything you can tell me about Mary I'll be glad to add to the family tree as well. :-)

Thanks Cousin,

Russ Pickett

O.K. I know which one you are referring to. It's the one I transferred to you. I don't know why you can't view the photo. It shows there is a photo. You need to write to Find A Grave admin. and advise them of the problem and see if they can fix it.

Sorry there's nothing I can do about it.

Are you referring to the Ray Wilson (55435312) in Maple Grove? If so, the photo is still there.

You are very welcome! Glad I could be of help.
