RE: Jacob Chrisman
I couldn't get a good enough close-up of the stone, but the inscription on Find A Grave says "Inscription:
In memory of Jacob and Magdaleen CHRISMAN
who departed this life in the year 1809,
the former the 28th of April in the 80th year
of his age,
the latter the 4th of February in the 78th year
of her age"
I hope this helps.

Pauline Yokel
Memorial #130795388. There is not a cemetery record for Pauline Yokel. However, in her mother's obituary she is mentioned: Katherine Yokel, maiden name Kahler, born 6 OCT 1869, died 23 AUG 1945, survived by husband John, preceded in death by daughter Pauline died 1916, and daughter Amelia died 1937. There is not any mention of where the daughters might be buried.

RE: Alfred Ganoung
Glad to have been able to help. I seem to have to uncover quite a few markers anymore. The cemetery crews mow over the low ones and cover them with grass or the creeping ivy manages to cover them. Sure makes it hard to find stones once the ivy and moss takes over.

Abigail Stickney request
Hi Maggie, Old Hill Cemetery is quite large and the headstone would be quite old. Do you have any other info on Abigail, dob, place of birth, parents, spouse? I'll be happy to look into this and a little more info would be very helpful.

RE: Veronica Curran
Maggie--I am a volunteer working on a project at the Naval Asylum Plot, Mount Moriah Cemetery to first identify, then compile the histories of the sailors and marines buried there. Do you have any information on Veronica Curran's history, particularly her service in the Navy?

Whippany Burial Ground
Greetings, Maggie!

I'm in New York City, but have a lot of experience with historic burial grounds in NJ and colonial era gravestone cutters. Is there a particular stone in the Whippany Burying Ground that you're interested in? I may have a photo of it.

Best regards,

Mary Horn
I spent four summers cleaning and photographing the graves at Jackson. Walked every foot of the entire cemetery. Always looking for Mary as I worked my way though the sections. I've cleared away overgrowth and searched through bushes as I went grave by grave but never found Mary. There is only her name posted in the request, no dates. I have a book compiled and printed in 1996 by the OGS. She is not listed in it. I even searched for her as I worked in other cemeteries in the area. No success. Is there any other info you have? A death date might help me find an obit. Thanks

Heather Pascarelli
Conroy in Knollwood Memorial Park
Hi Maggie! I went there yesterday and could not find a stone. There are 2 other Conroy families in the same section and I uploaded pictures of them. I found the little circle 97 marker for the plot number, but there's a large empty space where the headstone should be. Makes me sad to think they never got one :( Unless the plot number is correct, but the section is wrong - that's a possibility. I guess I would double check with the office and if they correct the section or number, I can go back. I did take a picture of the 97 and the blank space if you want that, and the two other Conroy's that are buried close by. - Heather

Please let me know if anything needs to be corrected. As, I know that the newspaper has been wrong before. Can I help you with anything on my end, if so, I am just a email away.

RE: Margaret Geris question
Hi Maggie,

The information was taken out of the Prince William newspaper. I was a volunteer for the Prince William Public Library to index deaths, births, marriages, and numerous stories. The library has a genealogy section, this is where I got the papers to index, called RELIC. I no longer volunteer, but I will try to find out the exact informatin for you.
