Pauline Yokel
Memorial #130795388. I found her obituary in the Friend Sentinel newspaper. She died in Holdrege. Her married name was Harkness and her husband, Lester, memorial #120502069 is buried in the Exeter Cemetery. I don't know of a German cemetery in the area, but Andrew Cemetery in Friend is not a German cemetery.

My pleasure. My maternal grandparents are close by so it was no problem.

Elizabeth Miller gravestone photo is now on her memorial profile. Sorry it's not more legible but stone is aged and lighting wasn't the greatest for a cellphone photo!

Next time I'm over that way, I'll look for Elizabeth's marker. Miller graves are well marked. The early Claypool graves weren't marked as well as the Miller graves. The caretaker of the cemetery passed away a couple years ago, and I've not heard who may take over....fearful that the cemetery might now fall into disrepair.

Hi Maggie. I noticed that you enter a memorial for George and Sarah Chamberlain in Summitview Cemetery in Ottawa, IL. I have the cemetery records, and submitted some information and I just wanted to let you know that's where the info cam from. They are both in plot B7-L7.

For Sarah the record does also have "War Nurse NY, Civil War, wife of George."

Those are the only two Chamberlains that appear to be buried in that cemetery.

Thanks

St Adalbert Cemetery-Sieracki gravesites
Hi again Maggie-I posted a picture for Joseph Sieracki. He is buried next to his wife, Pearl M. Sieracki (Oct 1, 1899-Jan 1, 1983). If you create a memorial page for her let me know and I'll post her pic...Mary

St Adalbert Cemetery-Zdon/Zdun gravesite
Hi Maggie-I filled your requests for Casimir, Josephine and Anne Zdon. I had trouble finding them at first and that was by the time they got to St Adalbert the name was Zdun and not Zdon. Anne was the only one listed in the records as Zdon and all the headstones say Zdun. I figured if I went looking for Anne I might find them all and I did...Mary

Hi Maggie, I just posted the headstone photo for Frank. He and his wife Catherine are both buried at Our Lady of Sorrows. The obit for Catherine states Queen of Heaven which can be very confusing for everyone and cause duplicate memorials so it is up to you if you want to change Frank's memorial to
Our Lady of Sorrows. Our Lady of Sorrows are the sections 100 to 109. Frank and Catherine are buried about 300 feet south of Edward and Irene Chodor. Judy

Sophia & Edward Hartel
Hi, I wanted to give you some other info I was given in the cemetery office. The other marker in the lot is for (Roman) Edward Brylan. Maybe he is related? As far as Sophia and Edward, they are buried in the same exact spot. The office said probably Sophia above Edward. And again, the marker only had Edward's name engraved on it. Hope this helps.

RE: Mordecai Lewis
Fixed the error you requested. So I have a headstone of Adeline and Mordecai's son, but he's not listed on their memorial as having a son named Charles A. Lewis. Wish I could attach the picture to this message. Thanks for your help.

RE: Jacob Chrisman
I couldn't get a good enough close-up of the stone, but the inscription on Find A Grave says "Inscription:
In memory of Jacob and Magdaleen CHRISMAN
who departed this life in the year 1809,
the former the 28th of April in the 80th year
of his age,
the latter the 4th of February in the 78th year
of her age"
I hope this helps.

Pauline Yokel
Memorial #130795388. There is not a cemetery record for Pauline Yokel. However, in her mother's obituary she is mentioned: Katherine Yokel, maiden name Kahler, born 6 OCT 1869, died 23 AUG 1945, survived by husband John, preceded in death by daughter Pauline died 1916, and daughter Amelia died 1937. There is not any mention of where the daughters might be buried.

RE: Alfred Ganoung
Glad to have been able to help. I seem to have to uncover quite a few markers anymore. The cemetery crews mow over the low ones and cover them with grass or the creeping ivy manages to cover them. Sure makes it hard to find stones once the ivy and moss takes over.

Abigail Stickney request
Hi Maggie, Old Hill Cemetery is quite large and the headstone would be quite old. Do you have any other info on Abigail, dob, place of birth, parents, spouse? I'll be happy to look into this and a little more info would be very helpful.

RE: Veronica Curran
Maggie--I am a volunteer working on a project at the Naval Asylum Plot, Mount Moriah Cemetery to first identify, then compile the histories of the sailors and marines buried there. Do you have any information on Veronica Curran's history, particularly her service in the Navy?

Thanks
