This what I have.
March 21, 1806 in Lynn Twp. Lehigh County, Pa., and died March 1845 in
Austintown, Mahoning County, Ohio. F.a.G. memorial# 145599700; He married
SARAH SALLIE SECHLER September 29, 1828 in Reading, Berks County, Pa., daughter of HEINRICH SECHLER and JULIANNA ?). She was born 1808 in Lynn Twp. Lehigh County, Pa., and died 1863 in Austintown, Mahoning County, Ohio.

** Jesaias (Jesse) KISTLER 3.21.1806 - d. 1845, m. 4.29.1828 Sarah
(Sallie) SECHLER b. abt 1808, d. 1863; bur. Austintown OH. Sarah's
parents were Henrich (Henry) SECHLER and Juliann. When Sarah was widow
she m. Daniel REISER, a widower, whose wife Mary had d. 1847.
They had 8 children: Catharine, Juliana, Andrew, Samuel, Lydia,
Josiah, Levi, Sarah.
Her parents: Henry SECHLER 1768-1836, Julianna 1772-1838.

JER records show Jesse "Jesaias", born 3/21/1806, son of Samuel and Catherine, godparents Philip and Maria Kistler. Kistler family papers at HSBC show that Jesse married Sarah Sechler; LDS records also show their marriage on 4/29/1828.
Lehigh county (PA) orphan court records indicate that "Josiah" Kistler died in Ohio in 1845, leaving eight children. These paper (some of which are erroneously filed under "Isiah" Kistler) show that Jesse lived in Trumbull county, OH, at the time of his death. Subsequently, his widow lived in Austintown township, Mahoning county, OH.
In 1846, Mahoning county (OH) guardian docket records refer to the children of "Issac" Kistler (dec.) as: Catherine, Julia (Juliana), Andrew, Samuel, Lydia, Josiah, Levi and Sarah.
In 1857, Mahoning county guardian docket records refer to Josiah J., age 17; Levi, age 14; and Sarah, age 12; minor children of Josiah Kistler, dec. These minor children chose Levi Brunsteller as their guardian (he was their brother-in-law, having married their sister Julia in 1852).
TCOM shows that on 8/9/1850, Jesse's widow, Sally, married Daniel Reiser, following the death of Daniel's first wife, Mary, in 1847.
The 1850 Census records for Mahoning county, OH, show Daniel "Riser", age 62; Sarah, age 42; Solomon Riser, age 24; Sarah Kistler, age 6; Samuel Kistler, age 15; Lydia Kistler, age 13; and Julia Kistler, age 20. The 1860 Census records for Mahoning county show Daniel "Reeser", age 75; Sarah, age 52; and Sarah Kistler, age 15.

Candace Bailey West
John Peter Bailey
I am a Kistler / Bailey descendant. Candace Bailey West. John Peter, Sgt. in the Union Army, was my 3rd great grand uncle's son. I cannot believe the info and stories on this man. It is tragic. I am watching the PBS documentary on the Civil War now and his post mortem photos are in it.

The blog below also shows the photos.

Could you point me to the origin of the photos you have posted here? Would love to know if there are more? Thank you SO much for caring about our history. SINCEREST thanks.

Catherine Correll
Mountainbiker - Catherine Correll was not the d/o of John Corll and Barbara (Bailey) Corll. She was the d/o John Correll and Sarah ??? of Newton Twp., Trumbull Co., OH.

I have long tried to connect the two John Correll and Corll - but have not been able to - they came to Trumbull Co., OH from the same area of PA - namely Berks Co., and Lehigh Co.

Good luck!

Mountainbiker - I don't have a lost Catherine Corll - but I have sent your note to two Corll researchers who may be able to help. In the meantime, if you would send me your e-mail address, I will send you a bit of John Corll & Barbara Bailey's offspring.

We show that all boys were of this family - you really raise in interesting question. Thanks!

Comfort Starr
Thanks for the tip in the Trumbull County history, but that Comfort Starr is the grandfather (and no doubt namesake!) of the Comfort Starr memorial I have, and you noted. Interesting, though, and confirms those links!
