You may wish to view your photos which are sideways on the memorial. I just linked a child and noticed them.

You are welcome. There are other Gilliand's buried at this cemetery. I will take those for you at another time after some of the standing water goes away.

According to the City Hall records she as an double stone with Burl Clay Gilliland. According to the cemetery records he was born March 16, 1904 and died JANUARY 5, 1991. Knight Funeral Home took care of both of them. The records are now at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK. The phone number is 405-382-3456. Hope this helps you.

Don't have a clue. This is just one of many I did while working a cemetery. Only info is what was on the marker.

Thanks for the pictures of the headstones of Joseph & Lina Holt. She was my father's first cousin. Her maiden name was Rose. I really do appreciate your help.

Lydia Young Noll
RE: SUSAN HULDA GILLILAND
Hello, I am writing to you in regards to Susan Hulda Gilliland. I have an old photograph dating back to 1954 of an elderly couple. Many years ago my mother, Etajoe Gilliland Leppert, told me that it was a photo of Susan Gilliland Washburn and her husband, Thomas Washburn. There are no notations on the back of the photo and my mother is no longer living... do you know of any of her relatives or have photos that might substantiate the validity of my photo? Susan Hulda Gilliland 1875-1964 was the daughter of Elijah Gilliland and Mahulda Ricks. Thank you, Lydia

I think you are correct but not 100%. If I'm not mistaken their cemetery markers are next to one another.

Private William M.Melton
There were (2) two. One served in Co.K 61st Infantry
The other, Co.K 60th Infantry. I'm leaning towards the first one since it was comprised of surrounding Co.'s of Onslow.

Keep up your good work - brings fun to life doesnt it. I'll clear up the notes of the two memorials when I'm sure status. Checked another cousin this morning who saw them together some months ago.

I'll take care of the two memorials is question - they are my generation cousin & wife -- senior citizens with family and for sure not deceased unless very recently ... inspite of family plot stones you photographed -- I'll check status with them
