RE: Arnie Scheeler
Hi Nedra,

No not a daughter, I am George's wife and I am into genealogy and found Arnie's memorial, thanks for doing that. I'm not sure what you mean by "owning" the grave but I can do it if you don't want to. Let me know what I would need to do.

George told me about the work you have been doing for class of '59, great work, thanks.

Hello to Cathy & Nedra!,

I don't know what to say. Your determination is amazing, especially to a perfect stranger!!! I would be DELIRIOUSLY happy to have the photos!!! James Watterson is my 2nd great grandfather. I do not have any originals of these photos. I cousin of mine set them to me in an email. They were damaged & I painstakingly fixed the rips & missing pieces of the photos. I am in tears that you would go to all this trouble for me & my family. I can't thank you enough! We will cherish them forever & I will display them with pride. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!! My email address is: From there I will give you my home address.

Hi Nedra,

I am sorry for the late reply, I just saw your message! Thank you for reaching out. I wonder if Aunt Anna May remembers the rattlesnake story. I vaguely remember Dad talking about it, but don't remember the details. I'll have to ask Aunt Anna May next time I talk to her.

That's really cool that you have Dryhead memories as well. What times those must have been!

Be in touch anytime.

You are welcome, Sadly the stones are getting dirty, but tried my best. I also just added the Family headstone to Benjamin's, and also added his wife Rachel. Have sent a request to link Benjamin and Rachel together. God's Blessings. Alvin

Happy to supply the photo, as the caption says, section 2N is not the prettiest in the cemetery right now, but I hope the image provides what you are looking for. Best, Helen

You're welcome, I'm glad I could help. We are enjoying an early taste of Spring right now, so it's nice. But we all know not to get too excited yet.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too it is always fun to get to help some of the same people once in a while. For Montana it really wasn't too cold today low 30's but I had to go out twice once to clear the snow and then after the snow and ice melted I just took the photos. Glad you like hope to see your name again.

Nedra, I checked it out this morning when I got to work and discovered you had already figured it out and put Nedra in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Billings. If you have additional questions, let me know. Leann

George and Nellie Smith
These are my Great Grandparents and I came across this picture on this site of them. I have pictures of them as well as the one that is posted on this site. When there son died (which is my Great Grandfather Claude), someone in the Smith Family in Clyde, Ohio had a trunk that belonged to my G. Grandfather and this trunk had pictures and personal items of his in it that was suppose to have gone to my grandmother. It would have been one of Fred's kids that had the trunk that belonged to my G. Grandfather Claude. I am interested in getting in touch with any of the kids of Fred's, Ina's and Floyd's. It wld have been nice if Fred's kids would have made sure the trunk of items that belonged to my G. Grandfather got to my grandma, however at this point I'm not as much interested in the trunk and it's belongings but would very much like to have contact with our family members up that way around Clyde. I have alot of info on the family that would probably help alot of people in their family research of the Smiths. Before my grandma passed she gave me one of the two trunks of personal items that belonged to my G. Grandfather Claude. Claude and his sister Ina and Fred were pretty close with one another. I have postcards from different ones and lace handkerchiefs and old victorian cards, a letter from Nellie to her son Claude and more plus alot of pictures of the family. My mother has 4 brothers, all alive, and we are all interested in grampy's brothers and sister's kids and grandkids. My mom and uncles and grandma use to spend alot of time at aunt Ina's house on the farm. Next to my G. Grandfather Claude is my G. Grandmother and my grandma's baby that was stillborn is buried in there with her. No stone on her grave only bronze plaque on my Claude's he served in WWI was drafted. Anybody in the Smith Family or any of aunt Ina Hines' kids/grandkids/g. grandkids etc that would like to have contact you can email me at Maybe I can help someone in the family connect the dots and learn about our deceased loved ones. Thank you. Dawn

Hi Nedra,

Yes, Brookdale is about 3 miles from my house. The Elyria downtown public library has newspapers on microfilm, many year books, city directories, maps, etc. The Probate office is in downtown Elyria where you can view marriage records on microfilm, some early birth/death books, marriage records, wills & estates on microfilm and on the first floor of the building you can view divorce records. The Lorain Public Library (Lorain, OH) and Oberlin Public Library (Oberlin, OH) also has newspapers on microfilm as well as other resources. Lorain and Oberlin are very near Elyria, maybe 15-20 miles from downtown Elyria.

Hi Nedra,

It appears that you have duplicated this memorial. The original memorial #71159411 was posted on June 11, 2011. Your memorial #139475063 was posted on Dec 1, 2014.

I have added a photograph to the original memorial and would ask that you please consider deleting your duplicate.

I wish rain hadn't fallen about 2 hours before I took the photo; water pooled on the headstones. Glad to help.
