Don't know much about Charles T. Blackwell- might have gotten his name from obituary I came across.

Hi, your email did not come with the message, if you could send again with email in the body of message I would love the map. I think I put the edit in the right spot. Living completely on the other side of the country, I was rather bewildered the the multiple Rochesters out that way. Have a wonderful day!

My wife and I walked the Couch Cemetery this morning and did not find a grave marker for James Jordan or James Robert Jordan. I checked two cemetery books on the Couch Cemetery and found more Jordan's or sometimes Jorden's than I could remember finding stones for. So, that is why I didn't file a problem because I want to keep the request open for me to check again or perhaps someone else if they get there before me. Believe me there isn't any easy access to this cemetery and the request's are few. So, I don't plan on making the trip any time soon. So, if you will be patient, I'll recheck. Ken Robinson

That's how I do edits now...I put the contributor's number in so that others can contact them with any additional information or to ask questions on their research. So far it has worked out well for me...plus I also know where the information has come from.
So keep those edits coming!!! Plus if you need any help or have any questions regarding gravestones in CT..just let me know.

These photos were supplied to me by a direct relative of the Ehmke/Schmidt family.
Johannah Schmidt Ehmke is their great grandmother and she lived with them in her older age for a time.
This should be plenty of verification.

Sorry, that's just what the sexton told me when he gave me the grave location. Google dodge/jeff genealogy society in Watertown. They have an online index of lots of information, it's only an index of what they have on file, but they are very helpful. If you find the site look for the last name in the clippings and content section. Lots of Riebes listed, it may help you in your search. Good luck, Dale

When I wrote Johanne, that was just a typo. It meant to say Johanna, the sister of Henry Backhus. I've corrected that. I don't have any information other than what is posted on the memorial.

I just met with relatives of Johanna when I was in Manitowoc Wi in August! They are related through Vernice Zweig Schmidt also.
They had some wonderful documents from the original Friedrich Schmidt farm that I was able to scan!
If you'd like to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org, we can chat more.
take care, lane

Hi Barbara, If you're not related, I'd like to request a transfer of this memorial for Johannah Schmidt Ehmke.
She is the sister of my husband's grandfather.
Let me know if this will work for you.

I was in this cemetery last week and photographed every marker. I didn't find any of the graves / markers that there have outstanding photo requests. There were a few stones setting together, but I couldn't tell if they were simple markers versus broken headstones.

I think the original tombstone is long gone. Much more prettier when you go in the summer.
