I found it interesting that as I was submitting to Edit for the merges, I noticed that you posted flowers and photos on the original memorials, hence you knew were making all those duplicated memorials intentionally.

RE: Hi
Find A Grave is going to "fix" them for you. I am submitting them one by one. They will be merged into the original memorials.

RE: TLC on FAG
If you mean you can't post a message or email them.....then
You can use the SAC on the original memorial to get in touch with the member.

RE: Lempka Memorials
Been here over 10 years

I understand as I have heard the same thing many, many times before: You didn't read the guidelines, they are your ancestors, and your memorials have more information than the orignal ones.

There are no duplicates on Find A Grave

Update the original memorials with your information using the edit system or SAC, transfer the photos to the original memorials and if they are within the 4 generations of the guidelines, ask for the management of the memorials.

I will look at this situation in 30 or maybe a few more. If the duplicates are still there, I will send them to Edit to be merged with the original.

You can do that too. Just send the link to your memorial and the original memorial and ask for a merge. Send to edit @ findagrave.com

Lempka memorials
In 2010, most of the Lempka memorials in Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery,Saint Mary, Johnson County
Nebraska were made by another hard working member recording grave sites in this cemetery. There are 77 of memorials and you have duplicated almost all of them in 2013. You know that your are duplicating these memorials as you posted personal photos on the original memorials along with duplicated memorials.

Please correct this situation so others won't have to do.

Read the guidelines.

FAG Guidelines
Welcome to Find A Grave.

The guidelines for this website are located on the left of any memorial under "Help with Find A Grave"...please read them.

This is a grave registration website with one memorial to one grave. This can cause problems with you attempt to post your genealogy and someone else has made a memorial for a certain ancestor. The guidelines tell you what to do. No duplicated memorials. Add information and links to the original memorial. If Kin, there are guidelines about that too.

You will be receiving notifications of duplicated memorials that were found by me today. If not resolved by you in 30 or so days, the memorial will be sent to Edit to be merged or deleted. That is in the guidelines too.

Welcome to the website, have fun and follow the guidelines. Please.

Gladys Lux
She would have been likely buried next or near to her parents--the other two Luxs. It is possible that her grave was never marked. She was single and the last in the family. Sadly she was quite well known as a regional artist, owned much property in Lincoln and has the Lux Arts Center in Lincoln named after her. Thanks for looking though.

RE: Frances Mary Josephine Lempka
The Lempka's are mostly from the Johnson County, Tecumseh area. I dont remember where the obit.came from but probably from the Tecumseh Chieftain news paper, Tecumseh, NE.

Don't know how much I can help organizing what you find in researching. I haven't made it much past the researching. What I used to prove lineage for the DAR:
Abraham Harrington's pension application. That was interesting to read. Found it on heritage quest website.
Next, I found a land record listing his children. Microfilm came from family search website. catalog section, Shaftsbury,VT
Others were newspaper obits for family in Nebraska, found at state archives.
Census records - Ancestry website.
Death certificates - State records.

Hi Chris,

Sorry but I have no pictures on either Thomas or Kittie. Kittie Gage Scarborough is my Great Aunt and have been waiting for someone to start sharing some picture but so far no luck.

Harrington descendants
Good to hear from another Harrington descendant. I am a descendant of their son Clark Harrington. Sorry, I am not on ancestory. I only use that site through our public library if looking up information.
I had to collect information showing the family lineage when applying for DAR. Used Abraham Harrington to join, Electa's husband. Would be happy to share.
