James Allen
Hi. I am just trying to sort out the family of William Allen of Pickens County, SC. I am descended from his daughter Sarah who married Lovely Abraham Powell. I wanted to confirm that your James is the son of William Allen and Abigail Barnes. Did they go to Gilmer Co GA after 1840? Thanks, Richard Carpenter, Cincinnati, OH

Summers at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta
I found John Summer. In addition to him were:

Frances Elizabeth Summer 2/25/1850 - 10/7/1926
Alma Summer Sneed, SR. 4/4/1876 - 12/6/1971

Would you please make memorial pages for them and send separate photo requests for each so I can upload my photos? Thanks.

They are in Sec. 16, Lot 371

Henry Ester "Bill" Bishop
Hi again.
Say, do you know what year it was that you attended the funeral at Eastview?
Heading back over there one more time tomorrow or Friday.
Regards, Bud

RE: Gary and Henry Ester Bishop
Hi Kristy.
I made the trip over there today and could not find your requests. I checked each block where the other Bishops are located and they are not with them. So, they are somewhere in there that I did not cover.
I left it open and did not put a problem report in. I did not want to discourage anyone else from looking.
Sorry, Bud

Sir James Alexander Abercrombie Information
Hi! I came across your profile via Sir James Alexander Abercrombie's record. James in my 7x's Great Grandfather (Paternal) My grandmother who was an Abercrombie passed when I was 8, my father when I was 15, so I have no one to go to for information. I am doing some research, and seen the comment you had left on his page, and seen that we have a genealogy link to him. I was curious if you had any information about him, further than what's on the record. I would appreciate anything you could possibly give me, I would be forever grateful! Have a wonderful day!

RE: Gary and Henry Ester
Great. Are they related by chance to the any of the others there?
Hope to get over there when the weather changes a bit.
Regards, Bud

Hi Kristy.
Say, are you sure you have the right cemetery for the Bishops? They are not listed on the cemetery roster.
If you go to the view cemetery you can check on the link which takes you to the East View home page. The use Group Search for names or blocks.
Best regards, Bud

That's great Kristy!!!! It so good to hear from a relative. Please email me at and give me some details. I don't have any info on T.A. Little in my family tree and I don't have Margaret's death date.

Hi, the volunteers would be happy to fill your photo request however we will need a burial location to do so. Can you please contact Green Lawn and get a burial location for your request?

If she is still listed as Summers on this website and you would like me to change it, send me an EDIT request from her memorial.

RE: thanks for adding my great grandparents
If her name is misspelled here, please send an EDIT/"Suggest any other correction or addition" with the correct spelling and remind me of your relationship.

I think people memorialized here should be listed on their actual names.

(And, of course, if you have other information to add, I'd be pleased to do that too.)

I realize you probably prefer that I manage it --
But if you wish to add or update anything, let me know. ;-)edie

You are quite welcome! I hope all was ok in the memorial and if you prefer to manage, please let me know (use the Edit button - easiest way!).

RE: thank you for the photos
Hi !

You are very welcome . It really was a pretty cemetery. HUGE though. Must have a good 8 city blocks of grave areas, plus a few vaults and crypts. That is why there are many names that still need photos at that particular cemetery. I was able to find your names fairly easy because you wrote the section of the cemetery the graves were located. I did not want to ask at the office because other contributers have said they cannot photograph a grave unless they have permission.

The graves are near a fenced yard and the neighborhood is quiet and high class. It was peaceful to walk thru the area.
