RE: Archibald Question
Please include the info in the bio of the correct Archibald. I will look at the infant headstones and see if I can match with my research. Thanks again, Nina

RE: Archibald Question
Hi Jerry, the information is from death certificate and newspaper article about the fire. Originally I placed the info on this memorial to help avoid confusion related to questions I continued to receive on I don't mind removing now if you would like. I really appreciate all you do to maintain the Archibald memorials. Let me know. Thanks, Nina

Shaver's in Grandview
Jerry, I have transferred all the Shaver's in Grandview to you. I do believe we are cousins...I am related to the Wiseman family.

Have a beautiful day!

RE: Gardiner Memorial
It sure sounds like he would be your wife's grandfather. I know nothing about this family. I would try the Provincial Archives of New Brunswick. Just google . It is an easy site to navigate. His death certificate will not be there, but maybe his birth certificate or marriage license. Checkout Daniel Johnson's newspaper articles also.

You can add family links through the edit button. And I will approve, or I can transfer it to you. Just tell me your DAG number.

Civil War monument
The pictures of the Civil War monument were taken at Mount Hope Cemetery, 1048 State Street, Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine. No doubt about that.

You are absolutely correct. I've removed both pictures of the CW Monument. Thank you.

RE: And on another note . . .
I photographed every marker in the Stonestreet Cemetery that I could find, but it is not taken care of; it doesn't appear to ever be mowed. The only way I found it is that it was right beside the Edens Family Cemetery up Crack Rock Drive and I was there shooting pics of the Edens side when I saw markers on the other side of the fence in tall grass.

I had not heard of the Shamblin Cemetery that you asked about, but I wouldn't mind trying to find it. I live off of Route 21, so it may be in my neighborhood. (Our line of Shamblins come out of the Melvin Smith Shamblin/Lawson Shamblin line, by the way.)

RE: Just checking
I don't think we're related by any family members recently; my Dad's lineage is Davis/Shamblin/Drake/Summers (with a little Schoonover thrown in) from around Clay County, and my Mom is Happney/Halfpenny/Rogers/Summers. As far as I know, I'm not related to any Stonestreets unless they are somewhere way off the beaten path!

RE: Larry A. Jones
Jerry, I spend a lot of time in cemeteries and this one just happens to be close to where I live. I often take photos of newer burials and add them to the memorial without being asked, because many times the stones aren't pictured on the more recent ones. It was just pure chance I photographed Larry A. Jones' marker, but I'm glad that it worked out for you. Thanks! Kenny

Jerry, you appear to be related to Mr. Cunningham than I.

Peter Shaver
I am also researching the Shaver family (among many many others). According to trees I have and connected to online I am the 6th Great niece of Peter Shaver through his brother Paul and his wife Catherine Riffle. As I live in Indiana I have to go by what is posted and what is historical records. I hate it when I find several records that mention an event such as a marriage, and all give different dates. Or people who have family that just cannot be right as they were born 50 years before the marriage. I try to weed out all of that and then back what I have up with actual facts.
So if you find that you are related to Peter then we might also be related.

RE: Peter Shaver of WV
Jerry, I wouldn't bet a wooden nickle on either of the dates. The 1791 date was sent to me by a gggggrandson after I posted the memorial. Since the markers say 1781 and you have a date for the Indian War as 1781 that seems as good a date as 1791. Even if the wife had a baby in 1791 by another husband it would not be Peter's son and not named Shaver unless she married two fellows named Shaver. If you find more evidence I will be glad to change it.

There really is no way to combine duplicates. One person has to delete theirs so that is why I transferred it to you to manage and delete if you choose. I think it is nice to have a family member manage the grave site as well. You can better determine accuracy. I just provided a photo. :)

RE: Transfer Request from Bay Pines Cemetery
Members have 30 days to act on SACs received. Please ask once only within those 30 days for an SAC to be completed. Requesting the same SAC/transfer as many times as you have done within a few weeks is considered excessive around here.

RE: Re: Gardiner/Wilson
Hi Jerry,

Thank you for your note regarding Maple Grove cemetery. I have transferred Lena Gardner to you and will transfer only within the guidelines of Find A Grave. My husband is related almost everyone in this cemetery including the Wilson's. This cemetery is just up the road from the home he grew up in as a child. If you have any additions or corrections to add the the aunts and uncles we will be more than glad to make the necessary additions.
