BUT NO MANKEY SURNAME. I suspect if the parents are buried there, the Church would have a record.
You could write to the Church (attn: CHURCH SECRETARY) and maybe they can give you more info than we can.

If you are related to any or all of the 4 Mankey family members in the cemetery, please write back and we will transfer the memorial(s) to you.

CHEERS!

Pam,

I see that you got Benjamin's photo up. I want to thank you for your efforts. You did the leg work and I reaped the benefits. (Not a bad deal for me.) I appreciated your first e-mail to me. I'm probably repeating myself, but that was the teamwork that Find A Grave is all about.

Thank you,
Carol

RE: Just Albert C. Odor Not ALL Odors!
Oh my, this is a first. With an unusual last name like ODOR, one might assume they are all related. Everyone else has been thrilled to get the whole family, not just the one that was a direct line ancestor. If reporting me is your first reaction, there is probably nothing I can say at this point. But I would love to have the other memorials back. They need to be with someone who cares about them. I am sorry I jumped to the conclusion that would be you.

Thank you so much for your efforts, it appears that you went above and beyond the call of duty. It'll do some more research and see if I can come up with something, but I think you've touched every corner. Again, thank you. Mary Jones

RE: Samuel and Sarah Turk
Pam, I have found some additional information for you. Samuel Turk (father) died at the age of 70, so birth was in 1833; Sarah E. (mother) died at the age of 51 + 9 months, so birth was in Feb. 1832; George E (son)died at the age of 7 + 7 months, so birth was in Feb. 1855; Cordella (daughter) died at the age of 1 + 7 months, so birth was in Jan. 1870; Samuel (son) died at the age of 6 days, so birth was on July 28, 1871. Also, I have been given information where I can get a map of plots in the cemetery so hopefully can take pictures of the stones even though they will not be readable. I will keep you updated.

Pam, The other side also looked like another Andrew who died 25 Sept 1873 at age 67. I can send you the picture and you can decide. I can also ask the Sexton if there is another Mers near by.

RE: Amelia Moore Mers & Andrew Mers
Hi Pam,
Welcome to Find-A-Grave. I am trying to find out what her name should be. The Cass County Historical Society used cemetery records, obits marriages, birth, deaths etc. to make up the information that they added to the cemetery records. I used their info. when posting. I very seldom change anything without proof.
From now on when you want to talk about a memorial just click on the edit tab ( upper right hand corner) of each memorial. When the suggestion box comes down click suggestion and go from there. That tells the creator, who, what cemetery, what your member number is etc. You will find that you get more, better and quicker responses this way.
