Edit for Sallie Sanders Rhea
After looking at the information you gave me, you may be right about her parents. I have had the conflicting information for years, so I will have to go back and see where I got it. If I do find you are right, I'll make the edit. Thanks, Dennis.

RE: Memorial# 120199988
I appreciate you adding the death certificate, but the information on it is questionable at best. Every Census record lists Jim Rhea's State of birth as Missouri, not Tennessee. The DC lists Harvey Rhea and Mary Jane Delashmitt as his parents, but they were actually his "adoptive" parents. As for his age, the first Census record I have found in 1880 lists his age as 12, which would have made his year of birth before 1969. All other Census records and his headstone lists his birth year as 1871. I have researched him for many years, and I have been unable to find out very little to confirm when he was born or who his birth parents were.

I am sorry to bother you again, but since I have to spend so much time reading your messages, I thought that perhaps you could extend me the courtesy of allowing the 30 days to make the multiple edits, before you send daily remarks.

Send those same remarks through the edit, under the section for other corrections, additions, etc. I am not the only one that is no longer going to allow notices in my email box. Anything you have to say to me regarding memorials should be sent via the edit button. That is where we work from.

Thank you

Alana, I don't remember if I made it after I was there or not, but if you look at the message on my page, It is from his grandson Grady.
And regarding DeKalb county/Marshall County they are just a hop skip and jump down the road from New Harmony. We I return I will most definitely try and find the stone and photograph it.

Find A Grave Memorial# 30805561

I have a question regarding this memorial. Did you actually see the grave or did you get the information from a previously done survey of the cemetery?

There are many many people who assume this is the grave of Clark Terrell White. (With the G T actually being a C T). This man's birth and death date has been attributed to Clark.

His wife and children are buried in Marshall County Alabama. I just can't get my head to accept that he ended up buried in DeKalb.

Any light you can shed on your G T White would be greatly appreciated.

Kindest Regards,
Alana Morgan

Alana, I saw where you had an edit to his dates. I am trying to help survey Memory Hill and took a closer picture of his military marker so I could have dates added. It is posted on his memorial. You may use this picture any way needed.
I can't remember if we have talked about the Gorham family. My husband is connected to them and I have been trying to help find HM Gorham Sr. parents without any luck. If you find out anything I would love to know. Dale has a picture of a Gorham that is the "spitting image" of HM Gorham Jr. I know there has to be some connection.

re: Duplicates
Hi Alana,

You wrote:

This is a duplicate of your other memorial for Martha. You really do need to delete this one by Find A Grave rules.

It is also confusing for doing links.

Kindest Regards,
Alana Morgan

I contacted Find-A-Grave and requested that the two memorials, Martha Brooks and Mattie Ann Bunnell Brooks be merged. This should alleviate any future confusion.

I was not the original creator of either memorial. Rightfully so, Find-A-Grave is concerned about contributors deleting memorials that others have created.

I'm maintaining many memorials at Maple Hill Cemetery that were created by someone else.

Thank you for your time and vigilance.

RE: Photo Request
I don't have the plot number for my parents, but I will try to find out. It might take awhile because I'm not sure if we know the plot number. I might try calling the cemetery and see if they will tell me. I have a few others I could ask about at the same time. Thank you for telling me this.

I think you would do well to advise this man, that I have not refused to edit anything. I declined the edit, until such time as you could document the info for me. I also said, the Find A Grave guidelines for documentation is printed on my profile page. He keeps running over everyone that does not give him his way and it will reflect on you.

As to transfers, I transferred I don't know how many to you and have never acknowledged it. It takes people working together to make this program work. Mr Gorham has hardly any contribution to Find A Grave and should be out surveying cemeteries and adding people to Find A Grave. That the other thing we do, we do not only add our direct ancestors, we add all that we can find to Find A Grave. He thinks the number of memorials I have added is an indication that I am only after numbers, although I have been on Find A Grave since 2000 or before.

I was a volunteer for Rootsweb for a good while. During that time myself and my husband and our granddaughter surveyed cemeteries. I have to get out and walk every two hours, when traveling. so we chose to do the walking in the cemeteries. That is why I have some graves from counties and states other than Alabama, Florida and Georgia.

I have transferred many memorials and do so almost daily, but, at the same time I am adding new ones as well.

I am beginning to believe this man is not who he claims he is and if he is the person I think he is, Find A Grave will throw out again. You have to be careful with those who are not well, they are sometimes unpredictable and very vindictive.

I wish you luck in your genealogy, but, please remember to give back.

Edits without documentation, etc.

I am pretty sure, that I explained to you, I will not any edits with out documentation. If not, this is another statement regarding same.

What Find A Grave considers documentation is listed on my profile page.

Also, you cannot send more than 20 edit requests to the same contributors in one week.

I also, just saw a complete obituary on a memorial you created. It had all the full names and places where the people lived. This is totally outside Find A Grave guidelines. I am trying to correct mine as I find them. I think we all did this in the beginning.

Thanks for your consideration of my suggestions.

Merry Christmas,

Thanks for letting me know that I had made a duplicate memorial. I search on the name as it appears on the stone so I sometimes add dups if the Find A Grave memorial name doesn't match the stone. I have added my photo to the original memorial, linked her to her husband, and deleted the dup. Thanks Little Marie

Hi Alana
I didn't mean to be harsh, emails and notes sometimes seem a bit rough when you go back a read them :), it's too late then. So far I haven't had a response from the originator of the 3rd Hopewell Cemetery, I think maybe they created it not knowing which Hopewell to put the Whites in, hopefully they will correct it. Thanks, David

Hopewell Advent Cemetery
I left a message for the person making the original White entries in Hopewell Cemetery. I will wait for them to decide. Hopewell Advent is the correct cemetery. I will transfer the entries to them, but, I won't take them out of the correct cemetery.

Henry W. Robertson,
This was some information I found in some old papers we found after my mother's death a few years ago. We were not related to the Robertson's but I thank my parents were friends with some Robertson's. Not sure why she had so much stuff on other people but I added all the information she had on the memorial. If you would like a transfer of Henry's memorial just let me know. Joe

Re:River Hamilton Bailey
You wrote and sent this to my 3 times.
This memorial is inappropriate in accordance with Find A Grave rules regarding "Burial Unknowns".

From Find A Grave Frequently Asked Questions:
" Location of body unknown is used for recent deaths where the disposition is not currently known. Final disposition must be determined and updated within 30 days."

This memorial needs to be deleted until the final disposition of River is determined.

Walker Edits
Good Morning

I received your requests to edit my grandfather Lonnie Walker and several others. Wondering where you got the information on Velma?
Are you related to us? I will be adding my great grandparents to my grandfather's but need to have proof of the information on Velma since I don't have it. If you are related I would love to be in touch with you.

RE: Gorham family
My Martin family came directly from SC to DeKalb Co AL. There were 2 brothers who came to Al... I'm beginning to think they followed their dad's sister. Their names are Elbert and James Cooper Martin I'm sure they are connected, we are all connected some way, just have to figure out how. Like a jig saw puzzle with many pieces.
Eddie is the one that has a picture of one of your relatives who looks like my family. Take care and thanks for your help.

Newton Goram
Alana I have deleted my duplicate for Newton Goram. Thanks for calling this to my attention. It is never my intention to create a duplicate but the name Goram is spelled differently from the orginal memorial (Gorum) and that's probably why I did this. Anyway, thanks much for this correction.
