My wife is a descendant of the Moore's and we want to visit the cemetery. Can you tell me where it is specifically? Is their direct access or do we need to knock on a door to get permission? Thanks.

I appreciate the offer. Wright, Sr. and his wife Sarah had several children. Many more than just William and Abraham. Wright was my Great Great Great Grandfather's younger brother. A sister married a Moore which is why I said those Moores might also be in my tree but haven't been able to connect them yet. Sarah and Wright are both alive in 1900 and on the census. I do not know Sarah's maiden name. All that I have is what is on Find a Grave pretty much. If you follow the link back you will find Wright's parents. He is linked to them. My ancestor is his brother Joseph.
Joseph raised his family at Boxley instead of Hortonville. I looked up the two towns the other day on the map and saw they are only around 10 miles apart. My Great Great Grandma Serilda Cook Cornelius was born in Boxley.

|Heather Cottrell||RE: Cooks|
Oh my is that what they were going to do? Good grief. Since there are at the very least two Civil War veterans there some of the Civil War lineage groups should get involved in saving the cemetery. Did they not know it was there?
PS I imagine all those Moore children ( those belonging to S.W and P.J. Moore) are connected to my family somehow. Haven't figured out how either and I've searched Find a Grave for their parents so links could be made but had no luck. The S.W was for Samuel Wesley and the P. J. is for Phebe Jane.

Thank you very much for following through with this. It is very much appreciated. Both Abraham and William were sons of Wright Cook, Sr. They were both in the Civil War and Abraham died during the war. They both happened to also be in my Great Great Grandpa's company of the 47th IN infantry. He ended up marrying William and Abraham's cousin who was my Great Great Grandma. I do very much appreciate these photos. May I ask if you took all the stones still there in this small cemetery? I have not been able to locate Wright's wife Sarah but she may be buried elsewhere in IN.

That's great. I don't know if there will be markers left there. Maybe they are all pulled up? I figure the two Cook boys may have military Civil War markers. All three brothers were in the war. I do appreciate your efforts.

|Heather Cottrell||RE: Hi|
So sad when people "develop" over cemeteries, especially with veterans there. So disrespectful. Thanks for checking. At least it is not my direct ancestor and only his brothers..............

I can't really help with confirmation of the burial location. Your best bet would be to contact the cemetery. Good luck

Yes, you are right. Sam and his second wife, "Lizzie" (my great-grandmother), are buried in Crown Hill. Unfortunately, they have no gravestones. Lizzie's name was Elizabeth Teresa Forkner Porter, and she is buried under Elizabeth Porter.
Lizzie's memorial # is 45996990
Samuel Jenkens Porter is buried under Samuel J Porter. His memorial # is 45997127
Maggie and Sam's second daughter, Effie Blanche Porter White, is buried with her husband, Clifford G White, in Rose Hill Cemetery, Sec 14,Oklahoma City, OK.
Effie's memorial # is 48912877
Cliff's memorial # is 49012871
Maybe these burials could be linked?
Thanks again! :) S.R.F.
