More about Elnora
Mr. Hans Sherrer:
Thank you for adding the information to Elnora's memorial. I have a few things to add to the conversation and at least one spelling correction. You are correct that Elnora was the daughter of Timothy and Balzura. The correct spelling of her mother's maiden name is Wilbourn. It seems common to misspell that name as I have seen it done many times. If you would like you may add the link for Balzura (Find A Grave #5550752) to Elnora's memorial. I do not have any information about Timothy's death.
I also have more information about Mr. Hoisington. C. J. Hoisington, age 27, and Mary E. Iones (sic), age 18, were married on Apr 25, 1880 in Downieville, Sierra County, California. In the 1880 US Census in the same city are found the following residents, Kitty Wilbourn age 62, and her two daughters, Sarah E, age 22, and Martha, age 27. (These are Balzura's mother and two of her sisters.) Listed in the same household with them are Clarence Hoisington, age 27, born in Vermont, and Mary E. Hoisington, age 18, born in Missouri. The census lists Mary's father as born in Kentucky (the same as Timothy) and her mother as born in Missouri (the same as Balzura). This may not be proof positive but you should agree is pretty close. (Apparently Elnora was called Mary during this time.)
About Milton M Bacon: He and Elnora were married on July 31, 1890 in Douglas County, Oregon. I have info from the 1900 Census and their marriage but nothing else.
Luella (Find A Grave #50546963) was apparently Elnora's only child. In 1901 she married William Charles Gawley in Aberdeen, Washington. They had a son, Wilfred, born about 1903. In 1914 she and F Earl Moore were wed in Vancouver, Washington. There is much more about this branch but I just wanted to tie the W. K. Gawley you list on Elnora's memorial into your understanding. (I believe the "K" should have been a "C" in William's name.)
Best,
Merle

Elnora Bacon (#126565714)
My research shows she was born in the state of Missouri, not Texas. According to the 1860 census, her parents, Timothy P. Jones and Balzura Wilbourn, were living in Jaxson (sic) Township, Macon County, Missouri. All other records I find (mainly US Census) list her birth in Missouri. Unfortunately, the image I have of her obit from the Oregonian of 9/25/1939 has her birth in the crease between the pages. I see you include that her ashes were scattered by order of W. K. Gawley. Was that taken from the Washington State Archives? Regardless, I am very interested in where you got her birth place. My interest is that she was my grandmother's half sister. Please help.

Thank you very much Hans for your support and information change. I have in the meantime linked James to his mother (she was married four times, and a bit of a puzzle), and have augmented the memorial for his father with additional information (full dates). Thank you again. A

James Boxall, Live Oak Cemetery
Hello,

You uploaded memorial #127154923 for James Boxall at Live Oak Cemetery on March 30, 2014.

I uploaded a memorial for the same person on April 1, 2014 - I did not see the one you created when I did the upload.

It was brought to my attention that mine was a duplicate of yours, and while I totally agree with the "no duplicates" rule, I would like to ask that you delete yours in favor of mine. The one uploaded on March 30 has "Unknown/Unknown" for birth and death dates. It has lot/plot number, and fellow researcher Tim Hammill has posted a photograph of the approximate burial site.

The memorial uploaded on April 1 has a large amount of biographical data, full birth and death dates and locations, obituary, as well as link to his father.

I look forward to your reply. Sincerely, Adriana.
