Sorry for the repeat, just delete
Frequently that screen just hangs with F A G, and in an excess of caution I send again, I apologize.

Thanks for death cert info. Since this is dependent on the informant, I sometimes incorporate, sometimes not. Much death cert info is incorrect.

Could you tell me where you found that the "F" stands for Fisher?

John Dawson
RE: Elijah Dawson
Hello, I am not related to this line, mine is from Maryland, Delaware, Brown County, Ohio to Bracken County, Kentucky to Campbell County, Kentucky. So yes, my Dawson's do surround Pendleton County. Some even lived in Pendleton.
Did some research this morning - 1850 Census for Harrison County shows Noah Dawson born Virginia with Mary Dawson born Virginia. In 1860 Census in Pendleton County Elijah Dawson & Rosa are living next to Mary Dawson, born Virginia. In 1870 Census for Pendleton County, the "Old" Mary Dawson, born Virginia is living in household of "Eli" Dawson born Virginia.
This would make me believe that Noah Dawson and Mary ware the parents of Elijah.
The 1850 Census for Noah and Mary does have a 17 year old female "Eliza" born Virginia in the family. The census taker could have heard the name wrong?
On Ancestry.com there is a death record for Noah Dawson in 1859 in Pendleton County. This fits with the 1850 and 1860 census. Good Luck

Glynn,

I see that you are uploading Scott County headstone photos to Find A Grave. The recently-formed Scott County Cemetery Project is doing the same thing. Our goal is to update all the current Scott County Find A Grave entries and then start uploading the 170 unlisted cemeteries found in Gone, Forgotten, Now Remembered. We'd love for you to join us. Just go to our Facebook page, Scott County Cemetery Project, and ask to join.

The Project is sponsored by the Scott County Public Library and the Scott County Genealogical Society.
