I just found your request and transferred Mandy Bates to you. Do you need any others from that family in Black Creek? I have a cemetery list for that cemetery and I am added as I have time. I am not related to most there and I am happy to transfer if they are not related.

I first saw the books at the Gwinnett Historical Society in Lawrenceville, then at Conyers Library and Covington Library. The most were over in Covington. Nice setup there. I bought the last two that they had for Barrow and Walton County from GHS. They are out of print. The others, most are out of print, have showed up on eBay no less and flea markets. ;-)

Several Historical Societies put out books on the cemeteries located in their county. Some books are like a telephone book listing all deceased alphabetically identifying the cemetery they are buried in. Others are listed by Cemetery, Section and Row. Of the 155 counties in Ga I have a couple dozen of them. This has helped us locate the graves when we went out looking for "Photo Requests".
Best regards, Bud

Did he get his dinner/lunch?
I retired 22 years ago next month and wife joined me in 2000. We have covered a lot of ground from Palatka, FL to Fitchburg. Mass and a whole lot of places in between. Those were mine, her's are in WV and Va., but go way back, 1627 in Jamestown, and that has been really interesting. If you have more you are looking for around the area east of Atlanta let me know. I have net friends that send us all over between Stone Mountain and Watkinsville. We love exploring.
The very best to you and all yours, Bud.

Hi there Nancy.
Welcome to Find A Grave. Hope you can enjoy your quest here. I have been a little discouraged by some of the folks here, but on the most part it has been very fun and productive for my wife and I. Also, be careful, it is addicting.
Happy Researching, Bud and Vicky Sue.
