RE: Clementine Bennett

No, I am not related to Clementine or any of the other Bennett's in that cemetery.

Best Wishes,
D. Bagwell

Clementine Bennett
Is anyone related to this person on here?

Birdie Kersey
Birdie Kersey, buried in the Warren Cemetery in Emanuel County, Georgia is the daughter of Ambrose Kersey and Morning Warren Kersey. Siblings include Elijah, Harvey, Viola, Homer Clinton, Virgie, and Alice. It is possible that one of the girls had a middle name of Lillian although I don't have that info. This is the information that I have for her death:

Name: Birdie Kersey
Death Date: 29 Aug 1967
County of Death: Chatham
Gender: F
Race: W
Age: 78 years
County of Residence: Emanuel

Source:, Birth, Death and Marriage Records, Georgia Deaths, 1919-98, Death Certificate 023229.

Is it possible that there are two Birdie Kerseys?

Lillie Kersey
Was Lillie married to a Benjamin A. Mincey? If so, I believe that I have found her in the 1930 census living in Burke County, Georgia? I found a Lillie Mincey on Find A Grave, memorial 75438234, buried in Blounts Chapel Cemetery.

Possible husband?

Birdie Kersey
Anything beyond a first cousin is confusing! The best way to describe anything is with a chart or pic. Take a look at this link:

Our common ancestors are Davis Warren and Mary Woodward. Each of us are descendant through different children within the marriage. You through Morning Warren and my husband through her sister, Wealthea Warren. My husband and all his family are deceased so there isn't anyone left that I know of to ask. To the best of my knowledge, Birdie died having never married.

This link describes familial relationships (cousins, etc) and it may help to explain better than I can.

If you would like, I can do some research on your leg of the tree. I would be more than happy to help. What was your aunts name?

Georgia's Virtual Vault ( is another research you may not be aware of but it contains Death Certificates for a specific time frame that I often find helpful in establishing relationships/parentage.

We will all new once at Find A Grave so ask any questions. I have met many helpful friends here and I sure that you will too.

I am still trying to make a connection between William Wesley Benton (who married Ione Adams) and George Benton. Both Benton were here and there must be some type of relationship, still trying to find it.

Thank you so much for the additional information on George Benton, I have already added it. Do you have any more?

RE: Hello
Hi Angela,

Birdie Kersey is my husband's cousin, 2 times removed. Our family has a number of distant relatives buried in Warren Cemetery and I at one time, attempted to research this particular family but didn't complete it. I do have census information for her through 1930 if you would like it.

It is documented at the following link:

Also, if you would like her memorial transferred to you, please let me know and I will be happy to do it. I linked her to her parents just now
