RE: Rev.Mrs. L.A. Archie
What cemetery are you referring to. I sometimes add info on people who are not related to me when I visit cemeteries. There would have had to be a stone or marker for me to add anything. Let me know and I'll try to help.

In case you haven't already done this, you may want to Google "Genealogy of the early generations of Coffin" or just "Coffin Family Genealogy" either way it should bring up the Harvard Library (PDF) file of 1870. This may give Ira Jr's wife and children.

I remembered late yesterday of reading through this when I was looking for the family for my neighbor. Her connection to Ira Sr. and Magdalena Miller Coffin is via Eleazer. Some of the Coffin family are buried in the Crown Hill Cemetery, Marion Co. Indiana, entries have been made on "findagrave" in case you haven't already found them.

Good Luck in your search.

I'm sorry I can't really be of any help, the information I had on the Coffin family was for my neighbor, which I gave to her and didn't keep any of what I found. I don't recall extending my research to Samuel T. You may want to contact her just in case there was something. Her e-mail is

RE: Broughton
You are welcome. I was at the Noble County (Kendallville) Library today and I came across an article about Willia Broughton. It is from 1893. You might get a little new information from it. Will scan and email it to you. Barb

RE: Bloom & Sperling
Hi. Please email me all photos you took there including surrounding area, as you said.

We're especially interested to see the stone for Herman Sperling. Did you take that one too? We don't know when he died.

Thank you again!

Would appreciate if you could be on the look out for any Friedman and Tarlow stones at Mt Lebanon and Mt Jacob.

Thanks so much for trying to find Vera's stone. It's quite possible that her family could not afford a stone for her.

Some one has already claimed this request but I see you have several other names listed. The cemetery is only a few blocks from my house and it's a beautiful place to walk around. We got a few inches of snow last night but I'll get out there on nicer days and look around for you. Julie W.

I saw your message on jkb's site. Did you ever get a response? Do you need help with anything at Crown Hill? Let me know...

RE: Edgar Hilkert @ Chester Bethel
Thanks for trying. The source for Edgar's burial came from "Death Notices" in the Delaware County Daily Times (Chester, Pennsylvania), Wednesday, February 14, 1973, p. 4. I wonder if perhaps a headstone was never erected, or perhaps the paper was incorrect. Does the cemetery have a listing of burials perhaps. Thanks again, Dave Hilkert
