Dolores J. Rush
Hello Cuz!
I began my first memorial to my dad because if he had lived, today would have been my parent's 60th wedding anniversary. I was hoping to surprise her and I think I was more surprised by all the people that were here already than not. Thanks for stopping by and saying your howdy's! By the way, has there ever been an O'Neal family reunion?

The O'Neal Family
Loretta (Willis) Rainey-Fones says I should thank you also for all the time you spent researching my family and helping her with posting my great-grandparents memorials. They are Phylander & Phoebe O'Neal. I have a short biography on my genealogy blog on their lives. God bless.

Do you think I should delete the Flowers "note" on Memorial Page #37168315, Earl Herman Britain?

Re: Earl: #37168315

Thank you so much. I've already linked to it: John #125652715.

If we share this ancestor, would you mind taking a look at it? That question mark is throwing me curve balls.

Thank you,
B9B

Earl: #37168315
Thank you for asking: Would you mind adding quotation marks starting before the E.H. and ending after the word consumation. (as in consumation.") That would show that the whole of it is a quote.

Thank you Nancy for transcribing and adding the biography. To be really accurate and to take credit for the work you did, you'd added "Transcribed by Heartsong, 2014." And to follow the find-a-grave rules you'd add the word unpublished after the "Britain Ltrs." (as in "Britain Ltrs 1966-1982, unpublished, by Juanitas .....")

Ah man... Even I'm beginning to be annoyed with me.

I've added the info you requested, and would suggest you request a photo of the memorial. We have a great bunch of photo volunteers that would jump on the chance.

Also, if you are related and would like a transfer, please let me know. I try to transfer to those who want to be responsible for the memories.

RE: Done with Earl Britain's Obituary
Obit removed. Message to heartsong: "Cousin Irene was the author of the unedited, unpublished version of Earl Herman Britain's obit, along with many/many corresponding Britain(s). The Memorial Page for Irene is #67763175.

The citation: [Britain Ltrs, 1966-1982; unpublished; Author: Britain, Juanitas Irene Garrons* Peddicord**]

The citation goes below the text, with the text in "quotation marks." That was a good heads-up to me that adding the source as a caption to a picture might not be readily noticed. Thank you.

Please put that I forwarded the obit to you. I'll try to add flowers with a link to Cousin Irene, but I'm not sure that will work. I'll add flowers with the reason that I bother doing any of this for his Memorial Page."

Dear Nancy,
You are welcome. Her husband's name was BRITAIN, Hubbert Mainard (Bert, Birt), which I think I added as an image (family bible) to his page.

Yes. I hope I made it clear that there was one stone. On top was the message about them being children of the Graham's. Then Zella on one side and the infant son on the other side. It is old so I typed them out in case my pictures weren't clear.

Hello Heartsong!
I'm so excited about the picture of my GGG Grand Mother you entered on the memorial. Other than she and her husband Joel being buried in the Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro, Grayson Co., TX I don't have to much other information about them. Do you have other pictures? Thank you so much for the picture....Sarah

If you like I can transfer all the Barnes people in that cemetery to you. You know who they are and that's what is important. Do you know where John C. Barnes is from and his ancestry?

RE: Mary Fisher Mystery?
I'm afraid the obit is all I have to share. That Mary Fisher must have died on the KS side so I don't find her in the MO death certificates online. There are 117 Mary Fishers--including some Mary J. and one Mary Jane. I check several and none seemed to be the right one. If you haven't checked, try here:

Ed Hightower
Thomas Hightower Beaver Dam United Baptist Church Cemetery
Dear Heartsong,
I see that you did not create this memorial but do maintain it. As a direct descendant of this Thomas Hightower I cannot let certain things pass without comment. 1. The information submitted by Edgar Byler, also a direct descendant, is basically correct except for the part about Jane Jency Hightower moving to Oklahoma. That is at best pure speculation without any shred of proof or reason for stating same. 2. I cannot understand why a Memorial to Thomas Hightower would appear in this Cemetery as there is absolutely no evidence that he ever set foot in that County or had anything at all to do with that County. I have my suspicions regarding who might have come up with the idea but based any existing evidence I would be just as accurate if I created a Memorial to him on Mars. 3. There is absolutely no evidence the first wife of Thomas Hightower, Susanna, had the maiden name Harrington or Herrington. That is an old myth without basis. Since you only maintain and obviously inherited this Memorial I do not blame you for any errors but please at least consider removing the maiden name Harrington.
Thank you
Ed Hightower

Thanks for All your Help
Just wanted to Thank You again, "Ms Pokes at Scanners", for the amazing job you have done with photos, transfers and tracking down family links, of those those in Ebenezer. Without you and "Ms Links Alot", it would be far less complete. We are quite the team.
