I noticed that you are linked to Isaac Brooks and his son William Terrell Brooks. I am also descended from both Isaac and William. I am looking for any information about them for membership into the DAR. My family tree continues with William Terrell's daughter Martha Brooks (Kidd).

You're very welcome. I am always glad to help out where I can. It doesn't hurt that it is also very fun for me. :)
As I recall, only Carl's grave marker was requested. However, buried next to him was Kathryn A Richards. Presumably this was his wife, which would be your aunt.
It is just a practice of mine to take a picture of nearby grave markers if the have the same last name since these are usually relatives. I am already right there so an extra picture does not even take a minute.
Especially since this is a fairly close relative, I wanted to make sure you did not miss this.

Thank you very much for sending the source info for Mary's maiden name. Your time in pointing it out in the obit is appreciated.

I'm related to the Stephenson family at Oak Hill. My great grandmother is Marta Stephenson Burns married to Thomas Burns. My grandmother is Martha Edna Burns Bowers also buried at Oak Hill. Three of Edna's daughters are also buried there and a greanddaughter and her son. I'd love to compare notes with you as I have not found all of their graves at Oak Hill yet.

Thank you for the edit on Wm.'s death, it was a typo on my part, I knew it was Dec.

I think I have them correct now. It was no problem. I make mistakes, too :)

I am hoping to go to Oak Hill next Monday (weather permitting) and I will check for Stephenson markers when I am there. I have photographed all of the gardens and after 2 years, have about 25% of the final garden to go. If nothing else, I will send you photos of the graves if they aren't marked. Blessings, Janis

Thanks, Donna. I have deleted one of my records and added the "Dollie" nickname. One record was sdded from the interment book and the other from the actual marker. I have all this on a very large spreadsheet and am trying to eliminate duplicates such as this but it is a tough task sometimes with over 40,000 records. I appreciate your help. If you are related to the Stephensons, I will be happy to transfer any records to you! Janis

To like parents to children, you must go to the childs memorial and add parents memorial number. You can only like 'up'. (ie child to parents; parents to grandparents, etc) andrew
