Hi.
Please use the edit tab to request changes.

Do not use the MESSAGES.

I can't cut and paste from there.
Important information can be found in my profile.
thanks so much.

Thanks for the information Max.

If you don't already have this, here's the link to the work by Claude B. Thummel that I reference (there are others on the internet who have tried to clean up his work, and added their own errors).
https://familysearch.org/Eng/Library/fhlcatalog/supermainframeset.asp?display=titledetails&titleno=141845&disp=Descendants+of+John+Finch+of+Connecticut (there shouldn't be any spaces in the above URL, but I think the messaging system created a couple).
The link should take you to the card catalog of the Harold B. Lee library at BYU where a copy of the original work by Thummel can be viewed in PDF form or downloaded.

My Finch relative is #323-336-7, incorrectly listed as Porter (actual name is Parley). Its Parley's grandfather (Selah) whose father as listed by Thummel seems incorrect to me. But proof has not been discovered to link anyone, so Thummel's is still the 'best guess'.

You can probably find even more information by checking bernehistory.org and contacting Harold Miller to get the name of his resource.

I knew about the Civil War soldier. I did most of them for the Hilltown site on Wiki.

I have an associate that lives in that area and is very into Knox history. I will check with him and if he can tell me where it is (if it still exists)I will plan a Spring trip there.
