Hi Paul
I have made the links with her parents. If you ever want me to transfer management of records I created let me know. I am not related to very many of the people I manage and would like to get them to the people who are related. Until that happens I will still take loving care of them. Thank you for the additional information.

Ken Richter
Paulina Strade Ibe
This is a most interesting investigation challenge. The cemetery at Louis Corners is one of the best kept, organized and information available cemeteries in this part of Wisconsin. No grave marker or index listing shows Paulina Strade Ibe. I looked for a Strade listing and found only her father(no wife or child on same stone). A hand-me-down story tells of two brothers who wished to be buried together, one was a church member, the other was not. The non-church member died first and was not allowed to be buried in the church cemetery, so the other brother formed a Union cemetery about a city block away for his brother and any others who willed in the future to use it. With this story in mind I went to the Union cemetery looking for Ibe and Strade names. No Ibe were listed, but a found a bunch of Strades that were related to Fredrick. No Paulina found there. She must be buried elsewhere. If you look at the photos on the Ibe sites, you can tell that the three oldest children are from the first wife. See if you can get any clues from this angle.

Use me if you need any other help locally. I live with in three miles of Louis Corners.

RE: Walter Gritzmacher
Glad I could help out. I write down all the photo requests I get, then when the snow disappears I go to the office and get locations. So I might have requests from a long time ago. I just keep trying to find them. But again, glad I could help out.

Paul,

Yes, as you face the cemetery from the side of the church, looking West, the earliest graves run along the back fence left corner to right corner. Then the next row is the same. After a few rows though, then there is a break and they kind of zig zag. It is hard to explain but, if you walk it sometime you should be able to figure it out.

Thanks for the credit! I don't see it very often & when I do it puts a smile on my face. I also use a lot of contributors photos on my ancestry tree. It's such a great resource for genealogy, and I also always give credit to the photographer.
Thank-you again & happy hunting.

Gordon Wood
Sweet Family Cemetery
Thank you for the photo of the Sweet Cemetery, Paul. I am related to all but one those buried there. I worked with Terri Lee of Kiel to get this plot preserved. At one time the cemetery was one tenth of an acre ( 4,000+ sq. ft.). Over 95% of is has been lost to farm land. Keep up the good work. Gordon W.

Friedrick Maas
I see that you have a photo of him posted on his find-a-grave site. I'm wondering if you're fimily & if you have any information to share on the Maas family.

A Fred Maas is my 2nd great grandfather & I'm wondering if it is the same one or not. It seems that there are many Freds in the census records.

I'd be happy with any information you might have.

RE: Gritzmacher
You're welcome. I really like doing this and would think if I had some photo requests that someone would fulfill them for me. I put the Gritzmacher marker on Julius's memorial. Were you going to do photo requests for Dorothea (Dora) and Julius Jr or do you want me to just add their photos to their memorial?

Gritzmacher
Hi Paul,
I have fulfilled the photo requests for Julius, Albertina and Bertha Gritzmacher. I also took photos of Julius O, their son, and Dora M, their daughter, which was in the same plot. Looks like they would of been Bertha and Julius Sr's children. I also took a photo of the marker that has the Gritzmacher name on it. Would you like me to put those photos on their memorials? Let me know what you would like me to do with them. Was a nice day out there but the grass is high from so much rain.
Enjoy doing this for people though.

RE: Popp family
Paul,

I am not any relation. I was the sexton for the cemetery and I photographed and cataloged every gravesite for our records and for Find-A-Grave. If you would like any memorials transferred, just let me know the numbers and you can then manage them yourself.

Have a great day!
