It's easy to do if you work several cemeteries in the same week. I deleted the one that I created.

I have added the photo per your request. However, it is still sideways which is confounding. I have the photo stored upright but it posts sideways and I have been unable to correct it. Ironically, clicking on the photo to enlarge it restores the image to the upright position !
But, it is there on her memorial.

I believe I requested a photo from findagrave and got a reply that there is no stone. I can't be 100% certain about that. I just googled "Phillip S. McWilliams" Columbus and came up with a rootsweb site that has a note that FG volunteers and the cemetery have confirmed that there is no marker. The following site will lead you to the confirmation that he is buried in Union.
I hope that helps.

No, it does not notify you if there is already a photo attached to the memorial. It does let you see if there is a memorial for the person in that cemetery (which is why I'm so frustrated with all the people who created duplicate memorials), but it doesn't indicate whether or not there is a photo attached to the memorial.
When you transcribe, you are looking at a photo that someone took and uploaded to the cemetery without indicating any biographical information for the photo. When you start typing the surname for the person named on the stone, you will get a drop-down list with all the memorials in that cemetery that match the surname you typed (birth and death dates included). If you see the person's name that you are transcribing, you select their name to attach it to their memorial. It will then ask you if you want to attach the photo to anyone else or if you are finished. It does not show you the memorial for the person you are attaching it to, just their name and dates. I did not know this when I uploaded my photos. Now that I do, I won't be using the feature again. It may be a lot easier to upload an entire batch of photos to a cemetery and then attach them to memorials rather than finding each memorial and uploading each photo individually, but the amount of "cleaning up" I am having to do is ridiculous. It is not worth it at all.

I deleted the photo for you. That's one of the problems with the transcribe feature - you can't see whether or not the memorial already has a photo when you're transcribing. That and if you don't transcribe all of your own photos before they become available for others to transcribe, I've recently learned that many people do not attach the photo to the existing memorial; they just create new memorials.
I was on a business trip in Ohio, and since my dad's entire lineage came to Ohio with the original pioneers I took the opportunity to visit as many of my ancestors' graves as possible. While I wandered through the cemeteries looking for my family, I snapped pictures of other stones as well. I took hundreds of photos, but I didn't have the time to upload them individually and transcribe as I go; I had to upload groups of photos to each cemetery and clear them out of my phone's memory so I had space available to photograph the next cemetery. I will not do that again! I have been overwhelmed with requests to delete duplicate memorials that other F.A.G. members have created when transcribing my photos. Since it was my photo they transcribed, the memorial shows as being created and managed by me. It has been a very frustrating experience!
That said, I do want to fix as many of the errors and duplicates that my photos created as I possibly can. So please continue to send edit requests my way as you find them. You should be able to it through the "edit" feature on the memorial; that will send me a link to the appropriate memorial automatically, so you don't have to try to copy and paste a link for each one.
Thanks for your help!

|Carol Adams Rowlands Hays||Sanford Cemetery|
Thanks for setting up the Sanford Cemetery and the great info.
I've "moved" William Sanford to this cemetery.
Were others there? He is alone in this cemetery?
I didn't have the original photo. It was originally added by George Ellison McCormick in 2011. I transferred it to my profile on William from him.

Thanks for transferring the Tuckers. I just thought it would make it easier to update them.
I understand wanting to keep the Bates in your family. Just glad to have found it and be able to save the info in the family tree!
Thanks again for all of your work on the memorials.

|SteveDM||McCormack at Friends Cem.|
I see you have a request for Ina McCormack at Friends Cemetery in Guernsey County, Ohio. I'm pretty sure I have her headstone picture but the name on the stone is Inez, and her stone is with Sarah & Burrett McCormack. The dates match also so I'll post the picture and if I'm wrong please let me know and I remove them.

Would you transfer all the Tucker memorials you have created in Coens Cemetery to me? William Tucker(1843-1918)was my great grandfather and I have info about the rest of the family. I appreciate all the work you have done. Thanks

Hi MarLa, how are you? nice to hear from you and thanks for surprise transfers. I have added info to all of them including Martin Leslie Watson's death year of 1968. I couldn't find death record for their son James L though. Thanks again!

MarLa: thanks for the photos and info from the Beverly Cem. I have searched for more ingo on Isabella and found that her husband remarried after she died and moved to Michigan. I can't find where he is buried though.
The other person on the stone is her brother in law I think.
Thanks so much! I appreciate your help!!

|Vonnie L Cantrell||RE: Coen family members|
Thank you for the transfers. I will be working on the memorials over the next week to add the information that I have. Some of their descendants probably do not realize how long this family has been in America and how deeply their roots are entrenched.
I am like you: I appreciate being able to unite families. One of my greatest pleasures is to receive an email telling me that I helped them make a connection or that the person writing the email learned the role his ancestor played in American history from a memorial that I created.
For two years, I have been working on a project regarding the Battle of King's Mountain. Many people never realized the RW battles their ancestors fought.
Thank you again! Have a great weekend -

|Bonnie||RE: Wesley Morris #54269751|
The more I search the more I feel this may not be our Wesley. Wesley's birth cert states born 2 April 1877. Calculating headstone has birth as 28 Mar 1877.
In same cemetery as Wesley is Ida Morris daughter of W.H. & Susan 1872-1906
Wesley's sister is Ida Florence (Morris) Foraker Dowler. I can't find a death cert. for her.

Wesley's birth cert has birth date of 2 Ape 1877, calculation of headstone comes to 28 March 1877.
Do you still feel this is the correct Wesley?

Could this be brother Wesley? The birth day doesn't match up and I can't find a death cert.

That is most generous of you. If you would consider transferring, I can add some more information that may help this family identify their ancestors.
I appreciate your generosity. I am very committed to the memorial I manage and go through my list every couple of months to ascertain that they stay "clean".
I am appalled to find that people link incorrectly. I really make an effort to research extensively before I link.
Succinctly, to answer your question: yes, I would accept your generosity.
