Thanks for the reply. I was not questioning the posting of the picture. I just wondered if you knew anything more than what I had heard on the news. I hope the police find the who and why.

Linda, did you take the picture of Nancy Brown's disturbed grave. I saw this on the news last night 6/15/2016. They said a person would have to walk about a mile back to the cemetery. How do you carry a person out and what would they hope to find after over 100 years. I can't understand.

RE: Peter Finger
You are probably correct, the linked Daniel son is probably not the correct Daniel as he and Peter both died 1858 & 1859. I will unlink

RE: Peter Finger
Your math was off. Peter Finger would have been born either 1742 or 1743 depending upon the aged months, you calculated 1783 somehow

RE: Daniel Finger
I did not do the write ups. It looks like the inscription is 72 years and not 52 years as indicated by the original creator. So I changed, birth is 1-1-1786 if aged 72y 10m 15d

It looks like he actually went by the name Ephraim in 1860, so I'm giving it first priority. Thanks for your help!

Lewis E. Bressie
Hi Linda,

Can you provide a source for Ephraim as a middle name for Lewis Bressie? My source for "Edward" is a transcript of the original cemetery records, which was probably a secondary source provided by a family member at his death. There also could be a transcription error if the handwritten record was hard to read. I'm hoping your source is more reliable! If not, I'll note both possibilities in the bio.

RE: 71151307
Hi Linda,

I created the memorial based upon burial records copied from the Charlestown Library. They have him listed as Captain. I am not sure about the family line, but Bill, Durham, who maintains the memorial and all of the other Wood Township cemeteries, could certainly give you some insight.

Hope this helps.

RE: M. J. Smith
You are absolutely correct. It does say Mary.
I added that to name instead of M. I had never seen the photo of the stone before.
Thank you very much

I can understand the confusion over the names. I added the obit to the above memorial. Thanks for asking

RE: eliza collier lee 1839-1908
I finally located her but am at a loss as to the meaning of your request. I did not make the memorial and know nothing about her obit.
Maybe this old mind has finally lost it. Please let me know

You asked about the source for Martha J. Lee as a daughter of Robert Lee and Lucinda Owens. It is the 1860 census for Orangeville Twp., Orange Co., Indiana.

Mitchell Lee
You or someone on the Mitchell Lee page of the Banks-Standish site asked for the source that Mitchell Lee died 15 July 1871. The source is the Mitchell Collections, an unpublished manuscript compiled by Will H. Mitchell, 1957, Box 18, folder #6, on file at the Lewis Library, Vincennes University, Vincennes, Indiana 47591. It is a great source for the early families of Robert Mitchell, William Lee and John lee.

RE: Memorial #107389967 Greenup Lee

I went back & checked on Greenup Lee and I honestly don't know what my sources were. The dates on the 2 memorials were slightly different but the Washington Co. cemeteries book has Greenup at Standish so I have deleted mine. Thanks for the correction!

Robert Mitchell
Hi Linda,
I saw your notes on Robert. I removed the C. as I can't remember who told me to add it. And I know the marker reads Capbell but that is a misspell as marriage record on Ancestry lists Campbell.I also tried googling Capbell and always get did you mean Campbell? :) So... I also would like a copy of his will if possible. I am Thanks Becky Ann Woessner Litke (Cousin Becky)
