Hi Betsy:

As soon as we get some decent weather, I will try to make a run to Oakland. We're having an winter here...:)

If you can go ahead and add requests for them, I will check one of the next times I am there.

Is it near Dora's? That place is several acres big.

Sure! Go to the tab on his memorial in the upper right hand corner that says "edit". Click that and a window will open with choices. Click on "Suggest Any other Correction of addition" aka SAC button. The just make the request for a transfer.

RE: SAmuel Milton Hays
I don't even live in the same state, much less close to the Cave Hill Cemetery. I would suggest using the "Request A Photo" tab on the memorial and perhaps someone in the area will be kind enough to get the headstone photo for you.
I am not related to Samuel Hays, so I do not know if he is buried with relatives.

RE: Samuel Milton Hays
Hi Betsy,
I have transferred Samuel M. Hays to you, as requested. Just for your future reference, it is easier for the person who manages the memorial to transfer when you go through the SAC tab on the deceased's memorial page. Happy ancestor hunting!

Sorry, but you will need to contact a Findagrave admin if you can't make changes to the memorial. Your member number was entered. That is the only way your name will appear, which then gives me the chance to verify that the membership number I entered was for the person whose name is shown. I no longer have any access to her memorial.

RE: Bertha Brainard
As with Theresa's photo, my computer shows Bertha's right-side up. This has happened before, and I'm not 100 percent sure how to fix it, other than sending you the photo to upload, which I am more than willing to do. As far as where the actual grave is located, Bertha is located in an older section of the Hopkins Cemetery, slightly south and east of her parents. She is buried with several other relatives (Those other relatives are possibly her siblings, though I can't recall off the top of my head at the moment). Hope this helps!

RE: Theresa Abigail Bushnell Brainard
On my computer, the photo for Theresa is right-side up. I can send you the photo via email, and you can add it. Then, I will remove the photo I uploaded. That might fix the problem. Are you still betsyborchers@hotmail.com?

Jephthah Trimble
Did you notice the spellings of his name? The big stone has Jephthah and the little stone has Jeptha - no Jepthan.

RE: John Lawrence Worrall
Can you please add that he is the son of George E. Worrall and Jennie Luella Taylor? Also if you could add that he is the husband of Mary E. Irwin and the father of Mary Patricia Worrall, George Irwin Worral, Sarah Ann Worrall, and John Lawrence Worrall I would really appreciate it. It might help family historians in the future to have this info. Do you know any of his military history?

Sorry, can't add anything, I don't have the keys - he's a Veterans Affairs download from ages ago by Find A Grave. You can use the edit tab and request additions. There's a team of volunteers that take care of requests, better than me. I hate doing edits and it shows!

I went to the archives today and searched several papers, including the Seaford Leader, Wilmington Morning News, and the Harrington Journal but found no obit. I did find his death certificate though, and posted that on his memorial. His parents are on there and it looks like he's the one you are looking for!

The state archives building in Dover would have the obit if it was in the newspaper. They are open M-F 8 to 430 and the second Saturday every month (which happens to be this coming Saturday!)
