I searched for a while, but there was no Golden grave marker located in the section at Lutheran Cemetery. Based on numbering of some nearby gravestones, the Golden grave should be located in the grassy area in the center of the photo posted.

RE: Wow!
Hi Grace, I thought you would be happy :):) to see Maria & Lorenz's headstones. I finally found them, I think I walked pass them about 5 times OMG! I was going to send you a message on the other stones around them and on the other sides of Maria's stone. On one of the other sides is
Lauretta Walther Born Oct. 19, 1863 - Died Jan. 16, 1866 (with her) is George J. Walther Born July 27, 1874 - Died April 8, 1879 (they have a small stone with their there names on it too). On the other side is H. Louis Walther Born Oct. 29, 1866 - Died Apr. 19, 1899 ( with him is) Louisa A. Walther Born Dec. 10, 1853 - Died Oct. 5, 1906 (they also have a small stone with their names on it). Also there is Elizabeth Walther Ruff wife of Samuel 1869-1922; Samuel Ruff 1863-1945: Daughter Hilda A. Ruff 1890-1925. I hope I got all the dates correct, that tall stone with all the names on it is alittle hard to see. Carla :):)

Frank Street
Hi Grace,

All I can tell you is that Frank Street is buried just inside the main entrance on the right of the East End Cemetery here in Cadiz, Trigg, Kentucky.

There is additional Streets buried near him with a very large family stone just to the right and above his grave stone. Gertrude is buied just to his right.

Above her is a homemade memorial made of rocks in the shape of a baby cradle.

Directly above Frank is another very large memorial that appears to be a baby's momument raised high above the rest around it. I don't remember the names on the stones but the next time I'm pass there I'd be happy to stop and post the pictures of all Street's buried there.

Contacting the public library here in Cadiz and ask for Pam Metts or Kim Fortner at 270-522-6301. By the way, the library is named John L. Street library and is located almost directly acroos the street from the Main entrance to the East End Cemetery where Frank Street is buried.

Pam and Kim are part of the team that put together the book I use to find graves. (Cemeteries of Cadiz and Trigg County, Kentunky, pub;ished 2010). They also have a genealogy area inside the library. Very nice people.

I believe there are 17 Street's buried in the East End Cemetery and a total of 31 buried in Trigg County.

Hope this helps you in your search. If you want me to take the pictures please post a request for any of the Street's and I'll pick it up as a reminder to run by there.

RE: Trip back to Greenwood Cem.
I was wondering if the empty space was for someone else and maybe at the time of death they were buried some place else. I'll check on those Walthers names again and make sure I wrote them down right. It did have in the book they were buried in a McMechen Cemetery and removed on Oct. 22, 1908 and take to Greenwood. There weren't any dates after their names when they died, expect when they were taken to Greenwood. I will look at the Library in the cemetery book and see if their names are in there and see if there is any more information about them. I'll look for Elizabeth & Sam Ruff at the cemetery when I go back. Carla :)

Hi, Thanks for your email. As only admins can merge memorials, I've sent a message to the other contributor and she will (hopefully) move her tombstone photo over and then delete her later entry for him. Thanks for letting me know about the duplicate entry.

Your request: Please consider linking Jacob to his wife Mary Doverspike Mohney, Find A Grave Memorial# 43800168, his father, Find A Grave Memorial# 45771976, and his mother Sarah, Find A Grave Memorial# 43800144. Thank you!

Please note the memorial number for Sarah is incorrect and comes up as Jacob.

Trip back to Greenwood Cem.
Grace, I returned to the cemetery to check on the concrete bench in the Horners plot. There isn't any bench there but there is an empty space between Augusta's gravestone and Mary's gravestone, maybe this is where the bench was suppose to be put. If you look on Augusta's memorial and look on that extra photo I put on her memorial of the big stone and the small ones you will see that empty space I am talking about. Also I looked again for the Walthers, no luck finding them, maybe they don't have a stone. In the book at the cemetery the Walthers were buried there in Oct. 22, 1908. They had been in a different cemetery. Buried in this plot are Lorenz J. Walther, Maria, Lauretta, Geo. J, H. Louis. Louisa Agnes Walther is buried there too, I think after she died then the other family members where transfer to Greenwood. I will look again when I go back. Carla :)

Mohney requests
I made links where I could. Some of your requests did not include names and I wasn't sure what you were asking. Plus, I cannot add links in memorials I didn't create. Linda

RE: Thank you!
You are very welcome! I'll look for that bench when I go back to the cemetery. It was very cold that day but I know the cemetery very well and I found the Horners right away. I knew there was a snow storm coming later in the week, which it happened today and we have about 6 inches of snow. So I was was glad I went again and took the photos of the Horners. The Walthers are in a different section but I couldn't find their stones but I will check again. I'll let you know about the bench and the Walthers. Carla :)

RE: Thank you!
Grace, you are very welcome. I also posted a photo to Augusta and George Horner that are in this same plot. There also is a Alma A. Horner 1892-1974 and Claire O Horner 1886-1946 in this same plot. I looked for your Maria Walthers, there is suppose to be about 5 different Walthers in this same plot with Maria, but I couldn't find their stones. It has been very cold here only about 13 degrees so I will go back after it warms up and look for their stones. Carla :)

RE: Thank you!
Glad I could help with a photo, but that is all I can do for you. I am not even sure where that was. I am not finding her listed in any Mt. Zion Cemetery. I take photos of family, family names in case they are related and any similar stones in the area. Relatives by marriage have similar stones made sometimes.

Glad I could help. I don't know who you are referring to, but I always try to get the best picture that shows the most details. Let me know who she was and I may have others related.
