RE: Margaret Stewart, Dauphine of France
Hi - Thanks for the quick follow up. I bet I'll be chasing this all over the place. (I wonder if it's worth it? I'm just so curious!) Sharon

Hi Debra,

I've been looking at the photo of Margaret Stewart's "tomb" on findagrave,
them to be entombed together, but I can't reconcile the vast difference in ostentation!

So with regard to the photo of Margaret's tomb, all I see is an iron grill and an obviously modern poster. Can you explain to me what I am looking at? I've tried to imagine this "grille" on several different planes, and can't make it into anything like a tomb.

Is this grille in a wall, on the floor, or ?? Is there actually a coffin or box? Is there no other marking? If I were to imagine the camera backed up about 10 ft, what would my camera see?

If you could explain this monument, I'd be very appreciative!

Abraham Gedney (1763-1850), Eleazor Gedney Burial Ground
Belated thanks for the corrections (I was away when received); he and many family members finally had been transferred without my knowledge. I have extensive Gedney research - being a descendant also. I have slightly different (and seemingly more) information for Abraham in comparison to what you provided - he died in Rye in the home of his son Joseph Hains Gedney. All posted now so take a look. I spent quite a bit of time researching his daughter (Deborah Gedney) many years ago and have now created a memorial for her. . . you didn't mention yet another son (James Burger Gedney) in your note.

I have linked Abraham to other family members and created memorials to do so when required. All in this cemetery are my relations, so should you require more information, please let me know.

I transferred management to you. To many corrections, I was concerned I wouldn't get them all correct. I'm not related to Rachel Eddy. Happy trails.. judykay

George Graham
Hi Debra,

I transferred George Graham to you. I thought he might have been a relative, but I don't think so. My Grahams came from Ireland and were in Augusta Co. and Lee Co., VA. Some did go to KY. Maybe we'll find we're related at some point. :)

Kind regards,

Your edits have been added. I have to apologize for the quality of the photos. When I am taking whole sections of a cemetery, I frankly don't do my best work. To bend over a brush hundreds off stones is hard on the back. However, since doing this section, I have purchase a little broom that enables me to stand up to brush them off. The photos often suffer because I am more focused on quantity rather than quality and entering the memorials so that loved ones may find their relatives. Their are still about 50,000 memorials that are needed in this cemetery. I am glad that you were able to locate your loved ones in an area that I surveyed. Chris

F.A.G. naming convention does not allow that many names only given name Maiden name married name . any other names have to be added in Bio. information . You also can not add a child to a parent You have to add the parents to the child.

Hi--Thanks for the e-mail about the Gedney memorials--I must have put them on and then never went back and added their death certificates!! I have added the DCs. Can I just transfer them to you??? I am not related, I was just adding some Linn County DCs. I was surprised at how many DCs that I had for people buried at Gilliland Cemetery and they weren't on findagrave. Please let me know if I can transfer them--I don't like to transfer without permission. Thanks again for e-mailing me so I could correct my mistakes! Diana

Graham's in Livengood
Debra, I transfered one of the Graham memorials but I thought you had more? I must have deleted your other requests, could you refresh my memory as to which memorials you would like? Thanks Rhonda
