Amox & Harry Hoeckendorf
I noted that you had submitted the information for the grave of my grandfather, Harry Hoeckendorf. 1)Did you know that he was related to the Amox family?
2) How did you know about his grave since we are just now buying a headstone?

Thanks, Nita Wilson

RE: Wondering who wrote the note
How are we related? I don't know a lot about the family as it fragmented after my great grandmother passed away when I as 10.

Hi LeAnne, the more I research, the more confused I get. Sarah's birth index, and her mother's death cert both say Capehart. There is also a Jay D Capeheart in the same cemetery. Do you know for sure which is correct?

Wondering who wrote the note
There is a notation on a listing for Alzine Irene Kelling Smith, Duke Marion Davis's mother. I was wondering if the person creating the post wrote the notation or someone else. I am related to Emily Elizabeth Davis. She was my Great Grandmother by way of her daughter Muriel Davis.

Transfer requests
I made three transfers to you far outside of findagrave's guidelines. As noted on my bio page, this is something I normally will not do. For any future request to be considered, it must be within written guidelines.

Harding Cemeteries
There are two Harding cemeteries in Perry County. The one with Jacob Harding and the two Austin graves is separate from the other. Thanks for your concern on possible duplicates. Merry Christmas to you and yours! Blessing ~ Christina

Next to the decline, there should be a blue bubble. If you click on that bubble there should be the reason. Only thing that I can think of for a decline is your edit created a double link for the spouse. Meaning.... Spouse was already connected, and you submitted an edit through the opposite spouse, which if you except those types of edits, they create what is called a double link to the spouse.

RE: Henry Oler

The number for the Henry Oler in whom we're interested is 58494746.. He's in Green's Fork Cemetery. I have large amounts of information on his family.

Jemima's parents
Hi all,

There has been quite a bit of misinformation I will narrow down to the following few things. While I believe her father probably IS A Job Felton, he is not the Job Felton who is married to Elizabeth Speer. This Job is probably a Junior, making him Jemima's brother.

Here are the reasons that Elizabeth cannot be Jemima's mother, according to the information I have seen:

First, according to NC records, Job and Elizabeth got married in 1786. Jemima was born appr 1742, roughly 44 years before her parents got married?

Second, some of the birth records I have seen copied repeatedly on ancestry.com say Elizabeth was born in 1850. That would mean Jemima was 8 years old when her own mother was born.

Lastly, the other records I see repeatedly give Elizabeth's birth year as 1831, which would mean she was approximately 11 when Jemima was born. Not likely.

Now, to help out, I saw the surname Wise as a possible for Jemima's mother, along with the name Mary Powell. I have not had time to look at either of these.

Happy hunting!

RE: Henry Oler
Actually, there are several Henrys in that family, but the one about whom I was inquiring is Henry, the spouse of Sarah Porter, and his Memorial # is 58494746. Sarah is # 58529401. I've just created a bunch of Find A Grave links on that family, and I'm in the process of checking them out to be sure they've processed correctly.

Relationship???
Good morning, LeAnne,

Are you related to this Oler family? If so, how? My wife is connected. Henry Oler (1768-1858) is her g.g.grandfather, and he's the g. grandfather of Ora James. I have a lot of information on this family, including their roots in Virginia. All these Oler's in Darke County are related.

RE: James David Amox # 62413343
Thanks for the clarification. I think his stone might have been stolen from Harris Chapel and ended up in another county.
Also, I transferred about 20 Amox memorials to your care from the Harris Chapel cemetery.

You say his d /c lists he died in Hughes Springs. Could you check and see if that d/c says where he was buried? I show he died in California.
Thanks,

Since " Amox" is not any of my lines, I am going to transfer all my memorials with the Amox surname to your capable hands. I am still going to try to find out something about the mystery of James David (will keep his memorial for awhile) and see if I Can find anything.

I have an "Amox" question or mystery for you...the above memorial I created in 2010 when I walked Harris Chapel. I also took the photo of his military stone.

I got an email today from a Kris Neves who created a memorial to James David at the Dowell cemetery in Fisher County. He says the stone was buried and broken in half. His memorial is # 149806227 (he took a photo).

I did a little research, but only came up that he died in Los Angeles, CA. Also he was divorced. But I cannot come up with anything to verify where he was buried. All the records I come up with reference Cass County for him. Do you have any info on him and could you maybe enlighten us as to where you think he is buried? Maybe a stone was just placed at Harris Chapel with his family, but he is not there. I don't know if the military will give you 2 markers? I guess it could have been stolen? We have had quite a bit of vandalism in cemeteries lately. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

Thanks for the updates. I am not related.

Just a note. The census records do put her birth closer to 1860. Makes is confusing.
