|tbeck||RE: Ruth Yancey Beck|
If I recall right I came across her when I was look for my ex father in laws family. I was married to Joseph "Worthy" Beck and LaRue Clark Beck's youngest son. They were two of the greatest people. I loved them dearly. Worthy was the son of Joseph Frederick Beck and Rebecca Ethel Porter Beck. These Beck's are from the Anders Hermansen Beck family's. I think Ruth was in that lineage somewhere. I was adding a flower to most of them as I was looking through the line. I was connecting some of this family for my step-daughter and out of respect to Worthy and Larue.

|Paul Rolfe||Forest & Lillian Yancy|
I made the links you requested. I am not related and do not know the family, so I will transfer the memorials if you would like to manage them. Also, you might want to know, these are the only Yancy graves in the four cemeteries that make up Walnut Hill Cemeteries (i.e. Cedar Lawn, Memorial Park, Ridgewood & Walnut Hill). You might also like to know Forest and Lillian are buried beside six Shubert graves - the only Shubert graves in the four cemeteries. I created memorials for the Shubert graves for your review and will transfer any you might want. The Shubert graves are listed as marked graves in case you would like photos of them.

I "claimed" this in order to take a picture for you, however, the cemetery is much larger than I thought. I went to the funeral home, but they didn't have records of where they are buried. I have attempted to contact the caretaker, in hopes of finding some records on where he is buried, along with others that are requesting photos. Hope to hear back soon. If you have a plot number or location, we will be happy to go back tomorrow and take a picture for you.

Maxine Yancy is buried next to Marvin Yancy at Skylawn (Lakeview III, Lot 329, Section B, spaces 1 & 2). I added a record for Maxine and uploaded a photo. Please let me know if you want the record transferred to you.

|Sandy Cantrell Lindeman||Yancey in Plainview|
I just added the photo for Dee & Uda Yancey in Plainview Memorial Park. You have a Memorial for George Walter Yancey in the same cemetery, and also one for him in Plainview Cemetery, which is correct and has a photo on it. Memorial Park and Plainview Cemetery are two different cemeteries. Dee and Uda's plot # is C, 228.

I checked again today, Friday, July 4, 2014, and there is still no marker for Mary.

I am sad to say that there is no stone at this location. On the cemetery's computer his name is Yancy, but in their books in the office he is Lancy. I found the stones around him indicating I was in the right location, but his and the graves on either side of him have no stones.

I have been keeping an eye on her burial site in the Garden of Roses and have informed a friend who works in the office at Sparkman Hillcrest that there is no marker for her. If the family has purchased one, someone might want to check on the status of the purchase. I will check back every so often to see if a marker has been put in place.

I received your request to add Sarah Elizabeth Yancey Noblitt (117857320) as the spouse of James Porter Norwood (70069553). Because of their age difference and because he has a wife listed, I want to be sure you entered the correct Find A Grave memorial number. Was Sarah his second wife, after Phoebe's death?

I sent you an e-mail.

Please check the Fairview Cemetery for "Gatie" Johnson. She was listed under Gatie Johnson. I'm sure that the person who placed her memorial would change the name to include her full maiden and married name for you. I claimed your request and checked her listing and found that I had already placed a photo of her marker on the Gatie Johnson memorial. Martha
