RE: Carter Cemetery
When I posted his name, gave his burial as Carter Cemetery, Flag Pond. There was a Carter Cemetery listed, so that is where I placed his name. Sorry, I have no other information.

RE: Robert Swain Carter
That would be wonderful, to have the names of their 12 children. I like to add as much information as I can, hoping it will help other family members. Look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you for your kindness.

RE: Anderson T. Buckner

Your great uncle Anderson should be at your doorstep about now. He left here without a fuss and went quietly.

Yes you can link the children to a parent but that involves sending the info. to Find A Grave to have them add it and that takes time or ask the creator or manager of the childs memorial to make the links. The hyper-links I have added to the bio. area is the easiest but the parents names will not appear on the childs memorial.

Sorry but I wish there was an easier way. I will transfer this memorial back to you. If down the road you can get the children linked to Nancy you can edit the bio. and remove the hyper-links. Good luck, Farm Girl from MO.

RE: 47142793
Check out her memorial. I have added the links for Nancy's children. Most of the creators of their memorials do not look to be active on Find A Grave so any links from those memorials would probably have to be sent to the staff at Find A Grave.

Do you have any dates of birth or death for the three children (burial locations unknown) who do not have memorials on Find A Grave yet?

If the bio. looks alright with you I will transfer back to you. Let me know if it appears correct. Note: You can now click on any of the children's names and it will take you directly to their memorials.

Rebecca Jane (Buckner) Hughey.
I finally found Rebecca after entering the memorial number you supplied for her mother, Nancy Elizabeth (Anderson) Buckner. Rebecca has now been linked to her mother, Nancy.

I have been in contact with a direct descendent of Rebecca's. Her contributor name is: Marj. Do you know her? I have transfered several of my memorials to Marj.

Thanks for providing the links. Have a nice day, Farm Girl from MO.

RE: Rebecca Jane Buckner
I cannot find this individual either by entering her name or the memorial number you supplied.
Please go to her memorial and send me an edit directly from it so I can find her. I am more than happy to add links but leaving a message on my contributor page sometimes makes it hard for me to locate the correct memorial. It is always best to send an edit directly from the memorial. Thanks,

Nimrod Buckner
You sent the following:
"Nimrod Buckner
I do not remember if we corresponded before, but I need some help.

With regard to entry 69899114 on Find-A-Grave for Nimrod Buckner. Would you share with me the source of his marriage to NANCY ELIZABETH BUCKNER? I suspect that these two were not married when looking at Nancy's birth of 1796 and Nimrod's birth in 1840. Not altogether impossible, but highly improbable.

I am looking for my GG Grandfather Nimrod Buckner , b-1795, Rowan CO., NC, d-29 Oct 1879, Big Ivy Township, Buncombe Co., NC, who was the husband of Nancy Elizabeth Anderson, noted at Find-A-Grave #117206788.

First off, I do not believe we corresponded before about Nimrod, but my memory is no very good anymore. Secondly, you linked Nancy Elizabeth Anderson Buckner, memorial #117206788 to Nimrod as his wife. I believe, by the date of her birth, she is not the wife of Nimrod or his mother. But I do not know much about these folks.

This Nimrod Buckner was Nimrod J. Buckner and was born on 14 Feb 1840 in , Buncombe Co., NC. He died on 8 Sep 1916 in , Henderson Co., NC. He was buried in Oakdale, Hendersonville, Henderson Co., NC. He married Julia Salina Freeman on 4 Dec 1860 in , Madison Co., NC.

Julia Salina Freeman was born on 5 May 1842 in Gerton-Bat Cave, Henderson Co., NC. She died on 9 Mar 1911 in , Henderson Co., NC. She was buried in Oakdale, Hendersonville, Henderson Co., NC. She married Nimrod J. Buckner on 4 Dec 1860 in , Madison Co., NC.

They had the following children:

1. Margaret Elizabeth May Alice Buckner
2. Artilla Texas Salome Buckner

Thirdly, I send the following:
submitted by David H. Reece
Col. Robert Anderson (1770 ?), son of James and Patty Mallet Anderson was born in New Jersey and removed with his father to Surry County, NC, where he was married in April 1792, to Elizabeth Jarvis (Jervis), daughter of Jabez and Kiziah Ridge Jarvis (Jervis), Sr. Robert Anderson was a colonel in the North Carolina State Militia. He removed with his father to Buncombe County, NC, circa 1794. In 1817, he sold his properties on Big and Little Ivy Rivers and removed to Tennessee.
His only child identified thus far is a daughter, Nancy Elizabeth Anderson, born 1796 and died 1885. On Oct 20, 1814, she married Nimrod Buckner I, born 1795 and died 1879, son of Jesse and Mary Tatum Buckner.

I hope this helps in some way, regards.

Thanks for posting the picture of Elizabeth Buckner Runnion on her memorial. Are you a Buckner descendant/researcher? I have Elizabeth as the daughter of Nimrod and Nancy Anderson Buckner. Would like to share/compare info if you are a descendant/researcher or interested.
Thanks again
