Thank you for taking the picture. What an interesting headstone. I have never seen one in that shape. Enjoy the rest of your summer. Jen

RE: Oliver Bead Mitchell
Thank you for the info on your relatives. My dad, Arthur Herbert Propst, was born up in the Thorn region and lived there as a young child. My sisters and I are going to see about putting up a marker for my great grandparents, Henry and Amanda Rexrode, whose graves are unmarked in the Rexrode-Hoover Cemetery where Bead is buried.

Oliver Bead Mitchell
I corrected the bio on Bead's memorial per your suggestion. I was adding some of my relatives graves to the Rexrode-Hoover Cemetery and since Bead's second wife was the widow of my great uncle, decided to add his as well. I knew Bead from growing up in Pendleton Co. and was a frequent visitor with my family in his home on the Thorn on Sunday afternoons. I got his bio from the 2013 book of Cemetery Records of Pendleton County by the Historical Society. I will suggest they make the correction as well. I am a friend of one of Bead's grandsons that lives in Pendleton County and was wondering who your maternal grandparents were and if they were from there.
Thanks for the correct info.

Revecomb memorials
would you like for me to transfer all the Revercomb memorials to you, as I only add them to help families and for the most part only have the information that is on the stone.

I did remove mine sorry that I didn't catch the duplicate. I have lots of pictures from Shelbina
cemetery that I will be adding as I have taken the entire cemetery with the exception of the ones I can't read and am adding them as I have time will
look and see if I can find the other one you need.

Find A Grave photo request
As part of my Eagle Scout Project I am fulfilling photo requests around Northern Virginia. I would like to fulfill your photo request for the person you listed for National Memorial Park, but I've already asked them to look up the locations of many people there. If you would be willing to call the cemetery (703-560-4400) and ask for the plot information on your request and relay that information to me today, Wednesday, or Thursday, we will go fulfill your request this Friday.

Please let me know if you object to this or to let me know how you would prefer the photo credit worded. If I do not hear from you , I will assume it is okay to use it. Thanks so much.

RE: Hiram Griffith Revercomb
You are very welcome!

Jeff, I got another little sentence from Kathleen--something to think about:

"Charles came here when he was 6, born 1863=1869. He could not have come without some adults."

I know it is not much, but it does lead back to Shelby County and the question of where could they be? Possibly there were never any grave markers and obviously no record documentation of any nature.

Best regards,

RE: Hiram Griffith Revercomb
Jeff, I received the following answer today but it was not much help:

"I was able to get a marriage and several census records in Bath Co., VA. Have obits for Charles A & Jennie, ch/o HG & Martha Ann Bratton Revercomb. Did not find any record of the parents in Shelby."

That is not to say they could be somewhere in Shelby, but there just isn't any record and if there was Kathleen would certainly have known. Head of the Shelby County Historical Society and advocate for getting all cemetery records as accurate as possible and recorded. She's a doll!

Sorry we weren't more help!

RE: Hiram Griffith Revercomb
I do know someone in Shelby County to ask for an answer. It may take a little time, but I will do my best to get an accurate answer. Thank you for your inquiry.
